Also, I try not to flip out too bad too often, but fuck my internet company. I just received my bill this month and they jacked up the price, despite the fact that I've had hideous disconnects the last week, and shitty speeds the last several months. First world problems I know, but damn do I want to do some venting with less-than-choice words. It's been bad enough I've lost connection multiple times over the course of this week without the total "lack of lube" consideration shown by the bump in cost!

Again, sorry for the venting and course language and I know in the grand scheme of things, these are the problems I'd LOVE to have over real stuff, but I had to bitch somewhere ;)

LOL normally I wouldn't even care, it just so happened that the bump in price coincided with the period of terrible access (which has never happened before, so it's even more glaring). The odd part is, it was MOSTLY just internet that was inter (LOL) mittent until today / yesterday. Today the digital TV signal started to go a bit haywire - again, ironically enough only on the channels I paid extra for!

It's like not only buying an overpriced underperforming sports car, but turning around an paying extra only to have the dealer bash out the taillights with a sledgehammer before you drive it off the lot!

Good morning, everyone!

Did I miss much this last week? I see there was an insomnia sale? Oh well, I guess I will have to wait until next time to put on my ninja costume and start gifting mercilessly. Seriously, how could I miss such an opportunity to throw gifts at everyone, especially those of you in this thread (and with no public wishlist, I'm free from any return gifting :-)). How could I let you have all the fun and how could I let trentonlf go about unsupervised. Who knows the gifting destruction he has left in his wake.

Sadly it has not been a good week or so for me. My baby niece died, my mother had a bad fall and has broken some bones (she is now unable to walk and in a wheelchair while she heals), my partner's flu got worse and I had to take her to hospital as she was having difficulty breathing and she was in there for several days before it got good enough for her to come home, and I have had so much to do at work (due to my brother taking time off after losing his baby). So it's been a very draining and upsetting week for me :-(. Well that just about explains my absence from the forum, just in case anyone was wondering where I was.

Thank you for all the kind messages while I was away, you all are really so very wonderful. Perhaps it's due to me being in an emotional state recently, but seeing all the messages from people on this thread and else where on the forum brought a tear to my eye and put a nice big smile on my face. So thank you for that.

P.S. Sorry if I am a bit off for a while, my head is all over the place what with all that has been going on and the lack of sleep.

P.P.S. Did anyone else notice that this thread is now listed in the "Hot Topics" section?

Not so much. Insomania drove us all a bit crazy with gifting. Our owl and I almost needed to duel each other to see who could give a game to Crow ;-)

I'm actually a bit sad that I missed the promo. I would have been ninja gifting so much.

Don't worry about the cold, I never get them. My partner has had a bad case of flu for a while and I have been sleeping next to her and cuddling her and I don't even have a sniffle. I never seem to get colds or flu, which is nice as that means I can still hug people with cold and not have to worry.
