HereForTheBeer: As business owner myself, let me offer a perspective that I sorta brought up earlier:
"Hi, you've been running your business successfully for several years now, with a growing customer base and product line, so I'm here to come along out of the blue and tell you how to do it better. You can thank me later."
If gOg answered every 'suggestion' that comes along, this place would be a complete bundle fornication. And a lot of the suggestions are opposite other suggestions. Which isn't surprising, since we're talking about a worldwide customer base with a wide range of age and customer experience within this hobby of ours, not to mention the wide range of income considerations.
As others mentioned, we see these threads on a fairly regular basis, and the long-timers here either understand why gOg don't do their every bidding or they see it as gOg being unresponsive and that nothing ever changes. And some of them are decidedly curmudgeonly about it as part of their Standard Operating Procedure.
Enthusiasm is good but... don't hold your breath.
This man again with the best post in the thread. Take a good note on that quote he provided. The way I see it GOG is doing just great and they surely feel this way too. As for why I'll stay (as I said I'm new here as well), its because so far I'm having good time here and for that I don't *need* any "directional arrows" or random board improvements. Again, probably like 80% of the people who buy games on GOG rarely visit and post on these boards.
No, what I need is GOG keep releasing games, keep optimizing the old ones for the new systems and keep making promotions where I can buy those games for cheap. And they are doing this just fine, so I'd rather spend my time on playing these games and having a good time, than wasting it for long petitions with "improvements" that are not really needed and are sure to be ignored for the reasons HereForRTheBeer wrote.
And that's why this is gonna be my lost post on the matter.
