I knew it!

Glad I didn't buy it elsewhere. :)

Looking at the photo, I thought the issue was that all the characters are apparently 14 years old.

What happens to older people? Like "Logan's Run", but already when you hit 15?

I hope they at least reuse the "old" people like in "Soylent Green".
Great news, keep it up GOG!
I expected this to come here. Not really into RPG's but it's good to see more of them come here.

vollinger: Is it as bad as Andromeda?
No way.
I played The Outer Worlds on XB for PC Game Pass last year and loved it.

Sarafan: Actually the game is very good, but it has a unique artistic style. Not everyone will like it. It's a different game than Andromeda though. It's more like Fallout: New Vegas, but with smaller locations instead of huge open-world map. If you like New Vegas, you should like The Outer Worlds as well.
THIS.

It's basically a Borderlands type of dystopia (i.e. corporations got too powerful in this sci-fi future) mixed with elements of Firefly (TV show) and Fallout New Vegas style gameplay - but on a much smaller level/scale. Feels much more personal, TBH.

FO:NV was HUGE, while The Outer Worlds...is really not.

Though, everything that was here in TOW: loved it.

20-30 hours to beat if you just slowly play though the game and do all quests... maybe stretched to 50 if you really take your time and explore and do everything. main quest going at a reasonable pace is about 14 hours.

Its 3 portal 2's in length, 2 doom runs, a single Neir: Automata play through, 2 bioshock infinite, the entire main quest of Skyrim without fast travel, Dishonored 1 and 2 played back to back.

Thats how long of a game The Outer Worlds is for anyone wondering.... so its not exactly short but compared to new Vegas which runs 38-148 hours including DLC it is shorter then that. Main quest on New Vegas: Ultimate edition no fast travel is equal to doing all quests in The Outer Worlds

I actually would not mind a shorter game.
I have to admit that most huge open world games lose me at some point. I just don't find them fun anymore.

I actually really have to think which was the last big RPG that i actually finished. It *might* even go so far back as Mass Effect 3, which i mainly remember due to the shitty original ending :p
The last "Tripple A" (Read in the voice of Jim Sterling please) that I finished was Borderlands 3. Also not a very long game, DLCs not included.
How long is the main storyline in the game? Im curious how much it will be sold for considering it is now basically a 12 month old game right...?

TOW was a $59.99 game, wasn't it? I'm hoping for a 50% discount, because if I know my publishers, the base price is gonna be the same.
Soooo?
The banner is up but it can't decide whether TOW is available now or coming soon. XD
Why is there a big banner atop the main page saying "now available" but it still says "coming soon" if i try to buy it?

The game got pulled last second :P
I checked Steam's store page timer and it seems it will be released at 10 AM ET, so I guess GOG has to wait until the same time and somebody added the "now avalable" banner a bit early?
