ShadowWulfe: A simple tick-mark that for some reason would be considered a wild and novel concept in the gaming industry!
Agreed but like I said - so far I don't know any game that has this feature, even though it would probably not that hard to implement it.

MarkoH01: You did not have problems when trying to play this game with a gamepad? Imo this is the biggest reason why this "remake" is really a good idea, since the game obviously was designed with a gamepad in mind.
I'm not a fan of game controllers, especially not for shooters. So I did not try it. But the game is perfecly playable with keyboard and mouse (at least the first Bloodrayne, in Bloodrayne 2 they already made mouse control worse). That's why I do not miss anything. Hopefully they do not screw up keyboard and mouse control when the remake is targeted at controllers.

Edit: Actually both Bloodrayne games do work with an Xbox 360 gamepad, even on Linux. Compared to keyboard and mouse it's just a pain to play with the gamepad, at least when you are not used to it. :P

Playing Bloodrayne 1 again for a bit I remember what I was hating in the game: You can save at any point, but when you reload the save it always throws you back to the begin of the level. That's the most essential part of the game which should be fixed.

I was the same like you for a very long time. I even played the Arkham games on keyboard and mouse and I started playing Bloodrayne with kb+m as well. Since then I've noticed that - at least for me - gamepad is feeling better whenever it comes to third person games ... although of course the aiming won't be as fast as with keyboard and mouse, so it has a downside as well. Regarding gamepad control on Bloodrayne, it was there but it did not really work well. I tried it a bit and never managed to get the pad calibrated correctly - no problems with any other games. But of course you are right: they should not compromise keyboard controls when adding proper gamepad support - but I doubt they won't, since this will - afaik - still be the same game just with enhanced resources and some tweaks.
There is a new trailer released for these updated versions and it shows that the symbols in the first game have not been replaced with uncensored graphics. So let's hope mods can be applied to this new version of BloodRayne.

Unlucky. I doubt that the old mods will be compatible since everything in the remakes has been upscaled. We can only hope somebody updates the mods for the new version.
Thanks for the free update!

Still looking forward to a Modern new game from this series

The game is specifically moddable to be able to replace the graphics with the uncompressed original textures, according to the game page. So I think a texture replacement may be pretty easy overall. I'll try my hand at it once the games release.

Why aren't the devs doing it themselves and putting the uncensored content into the official version of the Terminal Cut game that they are selling?

That should be a simple matter for them to accomplish.

So what's stopping them from doing it, exactly?

Sounds like I should give my gamepad a second chance. Any recommendations for games with good controller support?

I owned BloodRayne 2 but do not get Terminal Cut edition yet.
Yup. Haven't gotten my copies of the Terminal cuts either.

Edit: Turns out, they ARE in my library, they just don't show up as owned if you visit the store page.

Go to https://www.gog.com/account to force a refresh and see your games there. This was mentioned in the forums for Bloodrayne here. :)

I also only have BloodRayne (Legacy) in my library at the moment. The store page says I don't own the Terminal Cut version yet.

EDIT: In GOG Galaxy the Terminal Cut for the first game is in listed my collection. The offline installer files are 6.8 GB big. I guess they just need some time to update everyones website library. Seems like the demand is pretty high, which is a good thing as BloodRayne is a series that deserves to make a strong comeback.

I have Bloodrayne 2 Terminal Cut in my library. I do not have the first. Not really in a rush to replay them so I'll wait a bit before submitting something to support to see if it gets resolved.

Had the same problem. Try this:
https://www.gog.com/user/refresh

Doing it once immediately solved it for me.

Could be a rights issue. Terminal Reality shut down and liquidated their assets. Ziggurat might only own the rights to the PC version and not the textures from the console version. Most likely reason? Ziggurat is not entirely sure if they have rights to the console textures and don't want to wade into that particular legal quagmire to find out.

Yeah, tried that already - did not work.
