Gawd, If I'd known this before the Halloween Sale finished I might have bought Bloodrayne 2.

GlorFindel: Well, that's some good news from GOG in months!
I will finally replay BloodRayne 1+2!

And you say original games were censored?! I played them years ago and never noticed that changes! Weird!

Grargar: BloodRayne 2 was never censored.

All PC versions (as well as the European Xbox version) of the first BloodRayne had (almost) all its swastikas either replaced with a triskelion or removed.

More info about what was exactly censored can be found below (site is a bit NSFW):

That's a really long list! Strange I never noticed any of this!? Must have been because of SF/vampire setting; I must have assumed it was normal SF nazi iconography!

Same. I bit the bullet and got it now, just for insurance. It was only 33% off anyway so only about $3 difference. Plus you get the update for free once it comes out.

Yeah, I was hanging out for at least a 50% discount, but if I'd known a bonus was coming, that 33% may have been enough. Not sure the benefit is there to match the current price, where I would be paying at least $7 more for it than I want to.

Decisions decisions. I spent up big the other day on GOG ... at least for me. And I always feel cheated when I've missed out on a discount.

For those who are wondering about this: The old versions will be added as an extra to the updated Terminal Cut Versions :) You will have acces to both.

And what about those who already own the original BloodRayne 1 & 2? Will they have four different entries in the library (BloodRayne 1, BloodRayne 2, BloodRayne 1 Terminal Cut, BloodRayne 2 Terminal Cut)?

If I had to guess, it will be similar to what happens with BioShock 1 and 2. You buy the remastered versions and in your library you'll have the classic and remastered editions.

I imagine that once the Terminal Cut of both games become purchasable, the old versions will be delisted and added as a goodie on the new ones.

Thanks for your answer. By "extra" you mean "goodies" ? Like for Blood Fresh Supply, right ? Why not a separate entry in the library, like for Bioshock 1 & 2 ?

Your current versions will be updated and the old ones will be added as a goodie / extra in your library under the new versions.

BloodRayne will become BloodRayne Terminal Cut. Same happens with the second game.

Imo this is not a good idea. If you keep the original seperately in the library (which you have done with several titles before) we'd still keep access to older versions via rollback (and game time tracking). This possibility will get lost in case it is simnply converted as an extra (which technically is also not correct since we bought this as a full game and it should be treated as such).

AHF1349: They did this with SiN Gold. Version 1.11 (latest official from Ritual Entertainment) was replaced with version 1.13 (reworked by Nightdive).
What about rollback function? Doesn't it work in this case?

Modifying already existing library entries for those users who purchased original games doesn't seem like a good idea, especially for Galaxy users.

What if after Terminal Cut I want to replay the original game? It means that instead of two clicks in Galaxy ("install" and "play"), I need to download the installer, install the game, and then manually add it to the client. Sorry, but that doesn't sound comfortable at all.

Are you absolutely sure that the current library entries will be edited? Because on Steam, updated versions will be added to the libraries of those users who have the original games as separate entries.

I am really not a fan of bundling the original version of a game with a remastered version. The original version should still be available for me as a customer.

Especially as there are people who might want to play the original version, but do not want to put up 20 bucks and have to buy the remastered version in which they are not interested.
