tfishell: It depends who answers, often who answers first. It's shit when there's a bunch of wiseass remarks for relatively benign newbie questions.
pimpmonkey2382.313: He did seem a bit snarky with his first post though. I did try to help but didn't seem to do much good. :P
You were very helpful actually. I think the main problem is gog is pushing the galaxy client so us newbies here basically see only that up front. That is what is frustrating, buying a game and not getting to play it because the distributors client refusing to function as you'd expect.
As far as this post goes galaxy doesn't work with PoE and as far as I can tell it downloaded 15gb of nothing and then removed it... whatever was there to remove.
And yes I was a bit snarky, sorry, I wasn't trying to take jabs but i'm willing to bet that if I do it at galaxy's expense the gog vets wont seem to mind. Most here are so anti client it just proves their stance :)
So tldr; Don't use Galaxy for PoE (for now).
quick edit: I marked the gogdownloader link post as solution, but for the record everyone who clarified installer versions and patches/DLC are equally helpful
