With Kickstarter beta access on GOG.com!

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is becoming one of the biggest, most successful Kickstarter campaigns in history.

Straight from the under the watchful eye of Koji Igarashi, one of the godfathers of the genre, comes the newest exploration-focused, side scrolling platformer with RPG and crafting elements. In short, it's shaping up to be the biggest Metroidvania release in recent memory - already surpassing its original Kickstarter goal by sixfold. As of right now that is.

We're huge fans of IGA and Castlevania, so when we heard that Koji Igarashi was returning to the genre we knew we wanted to work with the team to play our part in getting this amazing spiritual successor out there, completely DRM-free, with our signature kind of customer love.

That's why we're excited to announce that we'll be supporting the upcoming release with DRM-free versions to all Kickstarter backers of the game pledging $28 or more!

Everyone who backs the project at the $60 tier (or higher) will receive not only a DRM-free digital copy of the game, but also exclusive backer-only content and access to the beta, all right here on GOG.com.

You can make your pledge over on Kickstarter, and stay tuned for future backer updates with more details on how to get started with your access to the beta.

I've never played a Castlevania gam before. So I'm hopping this will be a chance to see what it's all about.
It'll be awhile before this gets fully released but good news anyways. Really really looking forward to this game coming out! :)
Hmmm glancing at the title and the picture and reference to kickstarter, i am pretty sure (without peeking at comments) that this is the Castlevania Symphony of the Night sequel (Spiritual successor since the IP is owned...).

I must say, i am looking forward to this :)
Well, "Coming soon" is not really representative of the situation.
I backed this project awhile ago, and I'm glad to see this coming DRM free to GOG.
So, I notice there are two $60 bundles, physical and digital, does that mean getting the physical includes a digital code or those people need to wait for the game to be posted to them?
Sweet, backed it awhile ago so I am very pleased to hear I can get a code to have the game here.
Great, sound very cool. I want it but no for 60$ =P
Waiting for the realease.
Backed via Paypal for $65 for completionism's sake. Would've waited for release if not for GOG.
I saw the Kickstarter campaign some days ago and the game looks great, but I didn't back it as it was to be released only on Steam. So if the game comes to GOG it is good news, indeed.
I'll certainly change my mind about it then.
I'm looking forward to it.
yay, beta games on a beta client. Good for you!

Call me when it's actually released.
I couldn't be more excited for this! Is it 2017 yet?! GAHHH!!!

Zoidberg: Gog becomes worse and worse while Steam becomes better and better...

*sigh*

Vitek: How are they getting worse with this one? There were already seevral KS games, that were announced to come here during backer campaign? Plus I don't see anything wrong with it.

Or do you just think that this game makes this site worse?
Regional pricing, preorders and now KS games which are even worse than preorders. Don't get me wrong, I've heard of this one a bit but its story makes me thik of other anchored in the past projects that finally were quite disapointing. Also, what AlienMind said.

Gog is so obnubilated by DRM Free (which is quite cool) that it misses the point with all the other things they're doing (i.e. that witcher 3 season pass promo which reeks of disapointing marketing behavior - FREE displayed in bold and big letters while the preorder verb is half hidden) including promoting half finished games or even promise-games, which are worth quite shit for now in any case.

All this smells consumer unfriendly to me and it's strange because gog has been advertising how they are consumer friendly... there lies my issues with all this.

ps: not to count on this toxic like community that is gog's forum members, preffering to use the low rating tool (offered by gog) instead of counter argumenting. Well done, GOG! *thumbs up*

This is so great, if I wasn't burned out on money I'd back this. I loved IGA's games (Symphony of the Night, Aria & Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin) and this promises to be just as great as those games.
