Great band, I support them too, I have all their albums! :D

Simple and convenient fixes are just not GOG's thing.

I don't know, im pretty sure whoever came up with "good news" and "soon" had done some crack or meth beforehand

- and in most european countries, both drugs are simple and convenient to get ahold of!

Well, I can understand why they feel that way. Sometimes I wonder if the reason they've cut communication with us is actually the fear of some kind of backslash. Let's be honest, a lot of the criticism they get from the community is not exactly polite.
On the other hand, I also wonder if they realise why they've been getting so much flak lately, i.e. if they realise why some of their decisions are a problem for some of us. I guess we might never know.

Anyway, I don't think that blue post is meant to be entirely serious. :)
I registered less than 2 months ago. I've already bought 105 games for my own account. Now I have the opportunity of getting from someone a key for a removed game I would very much like to own, Freedom Force vs the Third Reich. But thanks to this new security feature, it seems I can't buy any game as a gift yet, therefore won't be able to exchange CD keys. Doesn't seem fair. Can someone from the GOG.com staff help me? Thank you.

I feel conflicted. On the one hand, there are some people on this forum who are in seemingly constant fear that Galaxy is going to become DRM or some other ridiculous thing and are very hostile towards GOG. He's not wrong about that, and it's kind of nice to see a staff member openly call them out on it. On the other hand, those fears are most likely a symptom of GOG's poor communication with its users, and it's sad to see that a staff member thinks the answer is thicker skin rather than better communication and increased transparency. I guess it fits with the attitude we've been seeing from GOG lately, though: Ignore or hide problems rather than deal with them.

For the record, since I brought it up, I certainly get where they're coming from (though the backlash is often deserved) and I did not take real offense to the post.

Ha, good stuff. Sometimes employees need to find ways to vent.

Anyway, this Update sounds like good stuff, though I was never affected. I just wish the chat scrollbar was far more prominent/larger, and thus easier to drag with a laptop trackpad.

Most probably someone from the GOG.com staff can help you.

However if they will help you I don't know.

I guess that getting in contact with them might help a bit there.

Definitely a step in the right direction. Well done, guys.

I disagree.

A very professional response should have been something like "25 page circlejerk, using a 50 posts per topic page forum setting". Without mentioning the forum setting, I'd it say it's amateurish plus at best.

Well said, +1.
