It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Have you tried to realign the planets to see if that helps?

That is, recreate the spammer's account and send yourself a new friend invitation under the same name. If the username is locked, you might need a blue to release it. If you were lucky, it might restore your friend data to something GOG's code can recognize again.

A stretch, certainly, but it may be something you can do without waiting for GOG's help.

That's a great idea.

Tried it just now. Created a new danielx99 account (on a different browser). Surprisingly, was allowed to do it. As soon as I finished creating the account, I got a gogbear (on http://www.gog.com/). Tried logging in with new account, got a gogbear (on http://www.gog.com/).

Enough fun for one day.

HypersomniacLive: You sure don't think things through, GOG, and sadly, you don't seem to even listen to feedback and reasonable suggestions.
I guess GOG's plan was to roll out these features from the old PM system in a half baked state and then have their top men™ just wipe off their hands for a job well done which is what I indicated they would do a long time ago when they told us that a solution to harassment was in the works.

Since GOG haven't even implemented the "new" Chat features correctly, one can't expect them to actually be working towards other solutions required to deal with the harassment via alt accounts issue that they proclaimed were under consideration.

Meanwhile the same user continues to mock GOG's minimal efforts of safeguarding the website and forum from abuse by now posting spam with pornographic avatars through yet another of his many alts.

Haha....no definitely not, eventhough I was born in a country reigned by monarchs. ;)

Narnia?

Sachys: Narnia?
No, that is where I wish I'd been born then I would have actually had a chance of being part of a monarchy. ;)

Hello dear users. This info may interest you or even make some of you happy, and since it is blocking-related I will put it here.

We have changed conversation/contact list order on GOG.com chat page. It's sorted based on these criteria now: User not blocked, There are unread messages, Is user online, Last activity

In other (more human) words: Unread on top (whether online or offline - yay), then online, offline - and blocked users on the very bottom with "Blocked" info (yay2). The rest is ordered by last message time.

Some of you may notice that in some browsers message text looked blurred sometimes - that's fixed.

Nice :)

That's much more efficient.

Thanks. It'd be nice if there was a way for users to decide this, though. :)

Cheers Johny.! - and thanks for doing more than just listening to feedback and actually getting something done! :)
Cool! This will make it a lot easier for everyone to avoid me! :D

I agree and I suspect more comments on that - so - please note that most probably we will add some kind of options in the future (hopefully not too distant future).

Something should be done about the abused rep system also.

Hi there my good sir, i have an enquiry for you, have you seen your colleague Ciris lately? She promised a Q&A with the GOG team and half a year later still nothing.

I was goign to ask about a support ticket that i've sent 3 weeks ago but i'm guessing it's also pointless, so... meh.
