My best game soundtrack must be the soundtrack in
”The Lost Crowe” by Shadow Tor games.
I really liked the soundtrack of Warcraft III Reign of Chaos. It suits very well the atmosphere of the game. Another favorite of mine is Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings especially the main menu theme. Unfortunately the pirated version had it removed so it was a while before I could get a copy with the soundtrack intact.
Going for Panzer general, the first one. It was the 90's, such a great time, good memories melting together with this soundtrack!

I must say that the best video game soundtrack is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim wich is the most memorable to me as is an Epic journey thru the whole orquestra in the background. The different voices singing in a perfect harmony where a choir of 30 people were gathered to sing, without forgetting that they did it in a language created specifically for the game, the dragon tongue. Totally rare in Tamriel since the dragons were apparent extinct and that the Dragonborn or Dovahkin is able to learn parts of the language used as shouts.
This main theme song is the most recognizable piece of music in gaming history, it's both melodic and aggressive using a rougher variant of the one used since Morrowind.
This theme song is a master piece positioning it as one of the best video game soundtrack of all times.

Below I leave you a video evidencing my state ;)

To me it's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I was in depression and that game kept me alive. The soundtrack just chills me since then. I just forget all the worries when I listen to it.
Monkey Island 2 OST - the best videogame soundtrack ever made!
Dragon Age: Inquisition is my favorite game soundtrack. I always find the music relaxing.
I'm going to have to go for the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack. The score is just beyond epic and emotional.
Metal Gear Solid 2

Terra’s Theme (Final Fantasy VI)

Gerudo Valley - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

and of course The Tetris theme

Though I love Hmm3 songs (and lots of others... lol), the best sound track for me is from Heroes of Might and Magic IV. It's just amazing! Too bad the game is the worst of the franchising.
The one I'm thinking of the most right now is honestly the soundtrack to Roboquest, absolute bangers all round.

I also love the soundtrack from Dune 2000!
My favourite video game soundtrack is the one FlybyNo made for Endless Legend! It has nearly 50 songs, and they all manage to sound unique. I absolutely love the string instruments and vocalizations, and how refreshing that is from the epic and/or folk wind instrument music often found in fantasy games, as well as the skilled range of scheming battle themes to mournfully soft tunes. The soundtrack is my go-to music for focusing on work, and I can't count the number of times I've just randomly gotten one or more of the songs (usually Dusty Strings) stuck in my head all day.

I fully appreciate the people who put so much work into making soundtracks that are beautiful, engaging, and capable of helping one stay focused and motivated. The cover art for this Heroes of Might & Magic III soundtrack is also so gorgeous (especially as I'm obsessed with dragons), so I would be honoured to receive one of these vinyl copies : ) Thank you for holding the giveaway!

GOG.com: which video game soundtrack is the most memorable to you and why.
There is no simple answer. But i can narrow it to three (or four?) unforgettable game choices.

Tristram Village - I suppose this must be recognized immediately by every player in the world. Diablo 1 & 2 will always be the best hack&slash rpg in the world for me.

The next two game choices reflect my fascination with 90's demoscene and the incredibility of the music they produced.

Foregone Destruction, Go Down and other tracks from original Unreal Tournament. These are simply masterpieces.

Another game, which uses "modules" created by demoscene musician, is Crusader: No remorse with outstanding title track - The Traveler

Sonic the Hedgehog 2, because when I used to be a child I would often count the minutes for my parents to wake up, just so that I could brute force my way until I get the first act of Chemical Plant Zone.
I couldn't do much forward though, as I would eventually lose all my lives in the second act of the same zone.
Yet, I fondly remember going into "Sound Test" and play every sound and noise that came out of the list Individually, multiple and multiple times.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, never has there been a soundtrack more defining than this one, no contest.
