What better way to celebrate the full release of the beautiful and idyllic puzzle game Dorfromantik than with a Contest?

To join, simply tell us, what games do you want to play for just a few minutes at a time, but then spend hours on?

A fitting question for an addictive and relaxing title like this one! You have until Monday, May 2nd 3 PM UTC to join for a chance to win 1 of 15 keys for Dorfromantik.
Euro Truck Simulator 2
I tell myself that I'm going to do a single mission, short, without any worries, 300 km, 10 minutes max, and then I find myself doing thousands of kilometers and I spend the night on the road...

Hiya,

A game where I'd end up playing for a few hours (dispite telling myself otherwise)? I'd have to say As Far As the Eye. It's an addictive little game that has the same hexagon shaped sections, but presents you with randomised maps that you need to guide your 'pupils' through to the safety of the 'Eye'.

I just keep telling myself " Okay just a few more turns", then wonder where the time's gone 2 hours later!

csmith: Vampire Survivors

I'll just buy this $3 game that everyone is talking about because it sounds fun. Oh, I died pretty quick but I earned some gold. Let's try again.

Hours later...

I'm literally unstoppable and even death is getting mad at me for surviving. Ha!
I AM NOT IN THE CONTEST - i already have the game

I just wanted to say that yes - i also got thisVampire Survivors for a timekiller in between other things when I have 5 or 10 min to spare and not knowing what to do - and according to my records i have spent 37 hours on it now..... when did that happen?

Phew! I fear my all-time time-waster is Skyrim. About to finish when I spot something interesting, turns out to be a cave which is a dungeon, with some many rooms, different areas and Monsters and Treasure. And then I'm loaded down and have to just pop into town to sell stuff, but that takes longer than expected, with buying extras, and improving goods before selling them... and if you talk to anyone you end up obliged with a small favour to fulfill a sidequest.
And just when it starts to feel a bit samey - there's another Mod to download and install, and explore!

After that? Uru/Myst-Online or Oblivion or The Witcher 3. All terribly seductive to just look at a bit more. Open games are the worst thing ever :-)
Rocket League, I launch the game thinking I'll only play a match or two but at the end of it all I've played for hours.

In a non-videogame example also chess, I get on an online chess website for a couple of games and end up playing 8 or 10 games instead.
Also in the "Civilization" camp (or similar games). Can start off with a minute or two, but when time becomes free, it can easily turn into a "one . more . turn" scenario that goes on for far longer than intended. :)
FTL

Even if I plan to only play for a three or four sectors, I end up at three in the morining, having gone through multiple playthroughs, still having a hard time to turn away despite my body starting to fail me.
Any Civilaztion game.
Stellaris, the meat bags needs to learn their place.
It's not rare that I launch OpenTTD to lay several tracks, or Rollercoaster Tycoon to build several attractions, thinking to play a short session to relax (5-10min).... and it often turns out, easily hour(s) later, that I'm finally still playing and have to struggle to put the game off X)

PC building simulator - I try to play only the missions given by a day but end up playing waaay more. There is just something relaxing to these kinds of games without the pressure of having to level up and dedicate hundreds of hours just to be competitive.

Also it is the only way I can purchase a GPU with a decent price.
The Peggle games were always fun to play. Games can be done quickly but 1 was never enough! Thanks for the giveaway!
Kerbal Space Program: I'll just launch one rocket for a moment… *several hours later* annnd I've made a space station.
