We've teamed up with ZA/UM for a contest where you can win one of 50 codes for the newly released Disco Elysium - The Final Cut!

To participate, just tell us what was the most memorable criminal case you ever solved in a video game?

Be sure to enter your comment before the contest ends on April 6th 2021, 6 PM UTC.
Congratulations to all the winners!!!!
WOO!
Congratulations to those who won!!
Congrats to the winners!!!
Congrats to all of the winners. Awesome!

Can't wait for this to arrive in my e-mail-box!

[Stops. Feels lost.]

Wait. I, The Player; I don't remember anything. Did I read something? Did I see something? Was I posting something here, into the abyss of the Internet? I'm...not sure.

Must be the days & nights slipping away from me, of more killed brain-cells. This is not helping my cause. Not helping these cases, that I'm to help. Not helping my case either.

These brain-cells, they must've been killed from the video games, the detective cases, the movies that I watch on TV, the TV shows, the music - and God knows whatelse.

Everything slips away further, with each play, each drink, and each addiction being consumed more & more.

I guess, I, The Player, I am going to have play detective some more. Investigate. Take notes. Not lose these notes. Don't misplace them.

.
awesome :D thank you very much

and congratulations to winners
Thank You!

Looking online, I see the devs do plan to eventually make Disco Elysium for Linux. When they do, will GoG make sure to have the install downloaded from GoG?

Anyone able to help me install this on Linux?
Congrats to the lucky ones and thanks ZA/UM and gog for organising the giveaway, it was pretty fun :)

As far as I know, there are some tools out there that can help you to translate the code into one capable of running in a Linux system. Or I suppouse. I'm sure that there are free alternatives of this to Mac systems so I doubt there is none for Linux. I really hope you find a way. I would recommend to search "Windows to Linux" or similar — you may find pages or tutorials that will explain everything better than me :'^
Congratulations to everyone! And thank you to GOG (team) for making this contest and to ZA/UM for allowing it. It was a very fun experience and not only in writing, I enjoyed reading others post too. It was a pleasure and an honor being part of this activity.

To conclude, just do stay safe everybody. l wish you all the best for the uncertain incoming times. We can deal with this, do not give up and neither do take this global situation as a joke. If or when you need it (and cautiously), videogames could be a good escape for what's going out there in this strange times. Also, I will always recommend going to Flash games (or alternatives like Gamejolt or Itch.io) of course. Either to bring back old memories or to discover hidden gems that might be waiting for a new player, you only have to be patient and search for them.

My childhood is covered with all this, indeed. Memories from the past that are fading away until I try to rescue them as much as I can. Newgrounds or the Flashpoint project keep a legacy that shouldn't be forgotten, maybe no the best titles but they still valuable pieces of the videogame's history and, considering the situation nowadays in this industry, all the companies ought to look more on to this manners of saving the past of our media. Thanks again GOG for making at least a contribution on this. That's all from me.

Many thanks to GOG for organizing the contest and ZA/UM for providing prizes.

It's much more interesting to take part in meaningful competition and put an effort to win, than just participating in some random-based lottery. ;)

Besides, reading topics like this can help us to find great games, which somehow remained unnoticed before.

I am looking forward to play Disco Elysium. Congratulations to other winners as well! :)
Congrats to the winners!
