Breja: Oh great :D One is drunk and the other spent the day in a sensory deprivation chamber. This is going to be good :D
In this forum, that probably makes them the only well adjusted ones here.

ScotchMonkey: Didn't he jack that from some comic book?

Also BOOOOOOO Ben Afleck.

The one with Richard Pryor?
avatar
tinyE: Yeah.

Side note to all, and if I missed it in here sorry, but I just found out the villain is Doomsday but with a TOTALLY different origin and story than the comic which means we can expect DC fans to be picketing the movie. :D In this case I don't really blame them because man, they didn't alter the story, they threw it out and started a whole new fucking story! :P

So much for the giant question mark graffiti spotted in the 1st trailer.
But Doomsday was a lameass to begin with.

Might have been somewhat interesting if they went with one of the original ideas.

Interesting choice that they went with Riddler and Bizarro for Supes and Batman's first combined villains :p

do we have confirmation that's bizarro?

cause I agree that if it's doomsday, that it wasn't the best idea to do Doomsday this quick, or maybe even at all. I don't really like Doomsday or Bane and that type of character. I like Bane more now after what Arkham did to him. gave him that Mexican luchador vibe. the whole "I'm muscley and a genius and am famous for winning" is just lame.

you also have to wonder why, if that's Doomsday, how the fuck that got past the QA stage. unless they're going with the idea that he'll get worse and worse as they fight him. but if so, why show the gimpy 'day in the trailer? but as Bizarro, it's totally legit because Bizarro is a bit of a goof.

fuck all yall coming down on Ben Affleck's Batman. it's awesome. and giving Bruce Wayne a droll accent like that could be one of his greatest contributions to the character of Batman. it's another layer that's separates the two and plugs a bit of a hole that's always been present with the character, kind of like the fact that Clark looks like Superman, which is that Kevin Conroy's Bruce sounds just like Batman.

This Doomsday is a morph of Zod's corpse. I might be way off here but maybe they didn't want to let go of Zod after just one movie and this was a way to at least keep his name in it.

could be yeah. it obviously looks a bit like Zod and they did show, I forget his name, before the reveal. Marvel's got all this history going on with ties to past movies and such like War Machine being used as a plot device in Civil War. so maybe they wanted something similar for this movie.

still you don't have to make him look dumb. like other joe said, shoulda done more spikes or something.

synfresh: DoomsDay looks like a LOTR troll reject. The best part of that trailer was Affleck was half decent as Bruce. I didn't have high hopes for this movie and that trailer hasn't changed my mind at all on that front.
avatar
Elmofongo: Why do you think he looks like a LOTR Troll and not Doomsday?
He's not spiky enough to be Doomsday.

It's neither bizarro nor Doomsday, it's an amalgam of both, at least that's the best guess. It's bizarro in the sense of being a monster frankensteined by Luthor using kryptonian DNA (or just outright Zods corpse), but has the look and character (or rather lack thereof) of Doomsday.

Uh Bane has always been portrayed as this Luchadore Mexican type character that has BRAINS. He is a very crafty villain and even determined Batman's true identity.

Going off only the topic, i see 'Batman vs Superman' and immediately i'm thinking of the list that i watched a few months ago where there's 50 ways superman could beat batman... Two of which were 'left karate chop' and 'right karate chop'... :P

Anyways, haven't really watched the trailer, not sure if i care, i haven't watched movies in years so *shrugs*

Eh even then Spikey or Not Doomsday is always a monsterous humanoid creature. So I understand the comparison but I really don't mind.

I mean we have seen alot of "Monsterous Humanoids" throughout fiction.

And Trolls come in various shapes and sizes.

This is Warcraft's Trolls:

This is Elder Scroll's trolls:

Yes, yes we know. Couldn't you at least start hating on Gal Gadot or anyone else? You know, for variety's sake.

When did Ben Affleck became such a punching bag?
