Elmofongo: Enough with the color complains :P
avatar
Breja: I think the quality of the complaints is the best proof of how good what we've seen is.

Quick, there has to be something to complain about! I was hating on this movie for so long, I can't admit it looks good! Damn... maybelense flares? No, wait, that's for Abrams' movies. The colors? That's always a good complaint against Snyder, right? What, the colors are actually perfectly normal? Whatever, my mindless followers won't notice.
I forgotten that J.J. Abrams is directing the new Star Wars.

Oh man I still somewhat dread that movie. The possiblility that it might end up being as dissipointing as The Phantom Mencae or worse with the internet of today oh man. Imagine if Phantom Menace came out if Twitter and Facebook was a thing back than.
I watched the recent trailer and even though I can be somewhat surprisingly even able to accept Affleck as Batman I find it much harder to accept him as Bruce Wayne.
He just seems out of place as Wayne in the way that makes me wonder what the hell is he doing there every time he was on screen.

I don't. Star Wars can't shock me anymore. Even if it's as bad as the prequels, it's already fallen from grace. It has nowhere to go but up. Worst case scenario, it stays at the bottom.

Actually, Phantom Menace was not as hated initially as it has become. I remember being pretty much the only kid in my class who didn't like it. I think it needed time to sink in. And really, after Twilight and Transformers and shit, it's not going to cause some epic new level of shitstorm unseen before on the internet. It would have to be some amazing, totally impossible, worse than Star Wars Holiday Special level of incompetence. It would have to be nothing but dutch angles, fart jokes, Twilight level acting, product placement and early fanfilm level special effects.
Ben, doin batman like a champ. He's hogging up all the screen off superman.
I know this movie will earn well.
Not because it will be a good movie but because too many people are already on hype train.
I find it funny when someone brags about comic based movies specially when they have no idea what they are talking about.

I never wear anything related to Batman NOT because I don't like them but because I respect their ethics.

Anyway, I think this movie is happening too soon specially when it's inspired from Frank Millers The Dark Knight Returns (Yeah, Zack Snyder I am not buying your words).
I am also waiting to see Gal Gadot's moves as Diana.

This NOT the movie we deserves, but the one we needs...

Yeah. I don't care about batman, superman, etc (wake me up for the toomuchcoffeeman movie), and I didn't know that ben affleck guy, so I didn't get or care the outcry when he got the role. Until i watched these trailers. I kinda see the problem now.

The dramatic zooms on his face when he is intensely thinking "guuh" make me wonder why they didn't cast keanu reeves instead. :-|

Which is why animation is superior to live action. This face is the face of Bruce Wayne:

Or at least the comic book images:

I have no problem with any of the other batman actors I've seen (West, Keaton, Clooney, Kilmer, Bale). This Affleck guy is the first one that seemed too bland to convey whatever is required. So I don't see it as a medium issue.

But again, I don't have very high batman-related standards.

As BRUCE WAYNE, Not Batman, I am not too fond of Keaton and Clooney as Bruce Wayne. Their faces just don't look like Bruce Wayne as established in the comics. Especially Clooney. Kilmer even more so.

Don't get me started on Adam West :P

Bale is closest to how I see Bruce Wayne.

Kilmer looked odd, but then again, it's hard to hierarchize the oddities of these post-burton pre-nolan movies.

Clooney was also a bit odd as a batman in the movie, but his face worked well in arkham asylum. I wish they had kept it for the sequels.

And i loved the Keaton wayne. Keaton (like Liotta) has a really underexploited comedic talent. His take was real fun.

I really don't care about comics-established faces : everybody has the absolute exact same head in these marvel/dc superhero comics. It's worse than mangas.

Superman and Batman in the comics looks so alike they might aswell be brothers.
The frank miller interpretation of batman is one of my favorites, he looks just like him, I couldn't be happier.
People need to realize that this is not a comic. So forget comparisons and just try enjoy it.

Especially about characters that are almost 100 years old. And had so many interpretations.

Pretty much. It's a never ending pointless fan boy discussion. It won't go anywhere. :D
