TheSteveScott: The BYOB doen't seem tobe working for me is they some sort of process i should be following?
avatar
ciemnogrodzianin: You need to put the games in shopping cart and go to check-out. It's the only place the prices are presented with the additional discount applied.
How do you think i know the discount wasn't applied? I have tried 10 games and 15 games and for the record i have tried selecting straight from game pages, i have also tried selecting only from the presented BYOB lists and from the BYOB genre lists the only discounts applied right up to the pay now button have been the individual discouts i would have gotten buying the games as singles

I was assuming i was missing somesort of page where i select the games from a list like the previous BYOB deals.

It seems that I was aware of a half of the problem! :D I assumed the filter displays more than it should and not that it also hide some discounted items. I wonder if they have any testers/quality teams...

Thanks for this post, I hope (not much, but still) GOG will read it and make something with the bug. GOG??
I love a good sale, as we don't get many of them round these parts...

Oh, and wish listed game Dungeon of the ENDLESS has now been released, great!.

wolfsite: Their portfolio, aside from Alien Isolation and the Dawn of War games, are on sale now.
... I kind of meant the Sonics, Crazy Taxies, Sega Rallies, Gloden Axes and the like.

I told them, but I think they don't care ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ciemnogrodzianin: Also – good luck to everyone checking those BYOB without o proper BYOB page. Thanks, GOG, for ignoring all our comments and rules of basic UX.
They had sale page in "old layout", where it was easy to check everything with check-box, but during a few last sales these pages were hidden and now they seem to be unavailable. It's obvious for me that you're not the only one facing the problem. Requiring customer to "hack" the system to use some discount is a bit crazy, but I'm becaming tired of repeating this to GOG, they simply "know better" and push their new (inferior) sale page's layout. I guess they're simply UX-ignorant or hardly maintain current code-base's mess, which makes any fixes impossible.
Thank you for the free game. :)

They seem to be messed up at the moment, yeah. The RPG one seemed to work, but for the indie one I got 5% at 15... Give it a while maybe?
Edit: Indie seems to work now too. And does count already owned titles.

Ah. Thanks for clarifying.
I would be interested in the number of purchases that will have taken advantage of the BYOB offers after the sale ends.

Because with the UI to facilitate those being this bad, I doubt it's going to be more than a three digit number, if even that.

Thank you for the free game gog and Lonely troops!
Sure would be nice if I could tell what on my wish list was discounted without having to scroll through the whole friggin' thing. It's been YEARS, when the fluff are you going to fix the wishlist filters, specifiaclly the "Discounted" one?

There are store filters you can use for this:
https://www.gog.com/en/games?discounted=true&wishlist=true
Edit: Okay, the link didn't work, you'll have to toggle 'Show only games on my wishlist' on.

You can see that directly in your wishlist. But you have to be in desktop layout to see the discount tags. No idea why they removed them from mobile view.

It doesn't appear to be working for the RPG BYOB or any of the other bundles. It seems there is still work needed on the GOG side to fix things. Whether it is regional or the random titles I selected haven't been added to the promotion properly is something for GOG's people to figure out!
