Just started playing FO 4 and the game left a bad first impression on me.
Where to start. The part where something major happens near the beginning and you witness something shocking...wow grammy winning acting there. Could you put some emotions into that and act perhaps like how a real person would act, not just say 2 lines in monotone voice and forget about it what had happened. I've seen more emotions in dying light from Crane.
When I come to the surface, this random farmer dude tells me his dilemma and on top of that he knows i'm not from this world and he goes ahead (according to Bethesda trope) and asks me for help. Why is some random guy just asking me for help? Atleast in Wticher 3 they made it believable and gave Garelt the choice to hear the person's problem and OFFER help to them or not. That is far more realistic. When will Betheda catch on with basic good design?
Also unlike in witcher, if I decline, I can't accept the quest ever again. The person won't give me the quest anymore. Again, outdated, poor design.
The graphics are also a mixed bag when judged strictly on techical terms. But yeah man, this game doesn't make a first good lasting remark on you. THe outdated bethesda ideas are really creeping into this game. First impressions are mixed so far for me.
