Just started playing FO 4 and the game left a bad first impression on me.

Where to start. The part where something major happens near the beginning and you witness something shocking...wow grammy winning acting there. Could you put some emotions into that and act perhaps like how a real person would act, not just say 2 lines in monotone voice and forget about it what had happened. I've seen more emotions in dying light from Crane.

When I come to the surface, this random farmer dude tells me his dilemma and on top of that he knows i'm not from this world and he goes ahead (according to Bethesda trope) and asks me for help. Why is some random guy just asking me for help? Atleast in Wticher 3 they made it believable and gave Garelt the choice to hear the person's problem and OFFER help to them or not. That is far more realistic. When will Betheda catch on with basic good design?

Also unlike in witcher, if I decline, I can't accept the quest ever again. The person won't give me the quest anymore. Again, outdated, poor design.

The graphics are also a mixed bag when judged strictly on techical terms. But yeah man, this game doesn't make a first good lasting remark on you. THe outdated bethesda ideas are really creeping into this game. First impressions are mixed so far for me.
I'm kinda indifferent to it, as i can't run it on my machine. The minimum requirements are pretty brutal, i5+, 8gb RAM, GTX550Ti+. Anyway, i wasn't so impressed by 3 either, so i'll stick to replaying 1 and 2 when i feel like it.
No.

- Steam only
- Windows only
- system requirements way above my league

I'm still waiting for New Vegas DRM-free and Morrowind without regional pricing, but Bethesda doesn't want to have my money.
At least the first three Fallout games give me enough possibilities to play them over and over again.

doomdoom11: I'm excited, but also skeptical at the same time considering how big of a step back Skyrim was.
Well, it is very nice, that they are coming to GOG. (Honestly I didn't know that before.)

But still there are soo many bugs and Wasteland 2 is clearly the better one. So I'll wait a long time, till the price is right.

doomdoom11: Anyone here at GOG excited for Fallout 4?
When they finally release on GOG in about five years, I'll surely have the PC for it. :)

(@Arghmage: They don't release on GOG to my knowledge)

I don't think they are, at least nothing was mentioned officially where did you get that information from?

tinyE: Allow me to be the one who ask a stupid question:

How do you know?
I got an early copy. And yes, fallout 4 sucks.
