Cadaver747: Funny thing, I was advised to buy only Barilla by trusty co-worker from Italy, Milan. I've tried different products and Barilla was kind of better than others. Later on I was told by a friend that Italy send their goods to Russia (and probably to other countries as well) with various quality, he meant that we never taste proper Italian pasta imported to our country because it would be of inferior quality. My friend implied that he had his sources and that he even had a business deal and close relationships with guys from Italy importing goods to Russia.
Perhaps that is the reason why some products are not good enough.

scientiae: There is an advertisement that claims "the most popular pasta in Italy", which always makes us laugh, since Italians (as a general rule) don't buy dried noodle, they make it from scratch.
