My favourite animals are koalas because most of the time they are sleeping. I like to sleep too, and they are lazy as me :)
The only difference is they are eating eucalyptus only, while I'm eating donuts only :P

My favorite animal is octopus. Octopi are smart, have many cool abilities and they are... tasty (though I ate one only once).

My favorite animals are cats. They can be as friendly as dogs(at least mine is)but don't require nearly the same amount of hassle in terms of taking care of it.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. My pet also died early this year. He was a small, mixed-breed dog that lived for almost 16 years, which is a long life for a dog, but I'm still sad that he could not live forever. I really lost a family member that day.
I have always been, and will continue to be, a dog person. I think it goes better with my personality.

Happy World animal day! Thank you Doc0075 for a chance to win games, but also for opportunity to share love for our furry, feathery or scaly friends. My favourite animals from mammal world besides humans (I consider us advanced animals which use technology) are now otters. In the past I liked more pandas because lot of videos of their mischievous play with their caretakers. From birds one of my favourites is alpine chough because they really like camera, and photography is one of my hobbies. Also Hedgehogs are so cute. I like dolphins, squirrels, cats, dogs, cows... Well,well,well,lolz.

I'm in for Pillars of Eternity: Hero Edition and Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition, as they are the only two available for GNU/Linux.

My favourite animals... there are a lot, but the ones that come to my mind right now are:

Donkeys: stubborn, quiet and more intelligent than one would care to admit. Probably my love from them come from Orwell's Animal Farm too.

Sumatran Orangutan: among the most intelligent primates, they have an irresistibly funny face as well.

But, as it comes to pets, I have to say the Newfoundland. Huge, hairy dogs are very quiet, and you can get physical while playing with them. I also love to strongly stroke pets while showing them love, it really makes you feel the intensity of the bond between me and them. Also, they are very cute-looking puppies, with those oversized paws, and them being giant indistinct mountain of black hair with just a ridiculously pink tongue showing is enough to want one. I hope some day, when I'll be living on my own, I'll have a house large enough to suit one, with a garden.

That, or the Bernese Mountain Dog. That hair is just beyond perfect. Beautiful colours.

I own three of them. I love them to death but I don't know how intelligent they are. :P

As for animal parts. I like dogs. Mainly smaller breeds - Yorkshire Terrier, Dachshund and others. We have many dogs in our family, but in fact I haven't one personally. Dunno why.
I personally had animal just once. Budgie, many years ago. It was domesticated so spent almost whole time out of cage. But one day neighbor's cat snaked into flat and killed it. Since I dislike cats :/

Favourite animal would have to be dogs. Nothing beats being greeted by your dogs after a long day at work. Thinking of getting a Schipperke or a Keeshond for my next one.
