high rated
I joined GOG.com on 29th of September 2010, so today is my 5th anniversary.
Among all registered users, September 2010 might be the most common join date (besides May 2015) as it was the month they pulled their infamous shutdown publicity stunt. A lot of the older users were pretty pissed about it, and I totally understand that. But for me it was the key impulse to finally look into this thing and realise that it's something I want to be a part of. Partially for the Good Old Games, but mostly for the DRM-free. In fact, at that time I was on the edge of completely abandoning PC gaming. Steam was all over the place and it seemed there were only two options: Get along with it or gtfo. GOG was my light at the end of the tunnel, and supporting it was the right decision. Cheers to GOG and all of us who support the idea of unrestricted access to the games we legally bought and rightfully own!
Now here's the annoying part: I intended to make this a giveaway, naturally. But my stupid credit card seems to be on strike again, so I haven't been able to buy anything during the last week. I have a few spare codes left, but none of them is really appropriate for this occasion. Have my word, as soon as my card is working again I'll grab something worthy. Check back on this thread when you see it back on top in the near future.
edit:
There has been some delay due to credit card malfunction and Fall Sale hysteria. Apologies for that. But now I'm finally ready to kick off the giveaway.
What's in for you?
Metro 2033 Redux
Metro: Last Light Redux
Ultimate General: Gettysburg (thanks to DeMignon for the generous donation!)
Way Of The Samurai 4 (thanks to Gnostic for the generous donation!)
How do you participate?
Just vote for Prey on the wishlist and confirm that you did so by posting "Prey for [insert title of the game you're in for]". The winners will be chosen by my liking after a few days. In order to participate you'll have to be registered before July 2015 and have to have at least 20 rep.
