ZFR: Not sure if these kind of threads qualify, but this one is from 2014 regardless.
My mistake, I forgot to checked topic's date on the first page.

ZFR: I thought I was nominating an obscure giveaway, so I'm happy to see someone else liked that one too.
Fun times. :-)
I no longer have time for these puzzles now.

I did create a puzzle, with a "hard difficulty mode" for the smart people, like you, grimwerk and mrkgnao. Unfortunately, one of my hard disks failed me and took it away (along with more important data). Maybe next year I'll try to redo it.

moonshineshadow: Sachys and The Sigil for a giveaway with an important topic: Charity.

I also nominate Sachys and The Sigil's Giveaway.
Added two honourable mentions.

triock: In or Not in? ;)
I'm in. Original post edited. Thanks.

In or Not in for the prize?

Woops. Im in
I am in.

The best Giveaway of 2015, in my opinion, is shared between these candidates:

The Try Linux Giveaway by Adamhm. Reason: incredibly smart puzzles and good how-to articles crafted by the host.

Esoteric Challenge Giveaway by ZFR. Reason: very smart puzzle, hand-coded by the host, which had caused some massive head banging against table on GOG. =]

The Community Giveaway by moonshineshadow and also IAmSinistar. Reason: a constant flow of awesomeness, from people-to-people gifting and good mood, which made GOG a far better place then just a drm-free "shop".

Happy holidays everyone! =)
Not in for, but I nominate these two:

Esoteric Challenge Giveaway by ZFR. I loved the first one he did (last year?) and actually managed to get this one first, which I was quite pleased with. It's a lot of fun and ZFR puts a lot of effort into designing the puzzles. Plus as ZFR hosted this last year he wouldn't accept a nomination then for the last Esoteric Giveaway so I'm pleased to do be able to do so this time :)

(A /)The Community Giveaway by IAmSinistar and moonshineshadow. This one doesn't need much explanation, between the two of them (and trent when he interim hosted for a bit) they've managed to distribute hundreds (maybe thousands?) of games to the very deserving members of this community. I, like many others, only became aware of it at all when I was nominated to receive a game by other members of the community (Hyper, v3 and Benkii I believe are the most prolific nominators and they deserve a nod too)
Christmas BUMP
We need more entries.

Else if our host comes back, he/she is going to be AnonyUnhappyMouse. hehehe
EDIT: changed my mind, I'm not in, but thanks for hosting triock. And I'll make a nomination or two anyway

I will likely add more nominations later, but first....

Secret Santa After Party Giveaway hosted by trentonlf (courtesy of Gnostic, apparently), which is being hosted for all the Secret Santa 2015 participants. I'm nominating this mainly because of trentonlf's willingness to do all that hard work organizing this year's Secret Santa, and even throwing in a giveaway bash afterwards. Have a sausage!

Hope it's legit

Not in, so I'm going to be lazy and not link anything, but my nominees...

3) Community GAs (Sinistar/Trent/Moonshine)
2) Slaugh's mystery GAs
1) Phc's 'guess the game' GAs

And honorable mention to misteryo for the GA where he let us name his baby!

Tons of very fun GAs all around though!

Edit - Oh, it's not coming to mind who ran it or what it was called, but top 3 should include the GA where someone actually wrote a playable game and hid the prizes insides. Winning was a bit too reliant on being here for the starting gun, but still super fun to poke around and try to solve all the puzzles and mini-games. That was quite the effort!

You mean probably this - https://www.gog.com/forum/general/treasure_hack_2015_treasure_hunt_for_296_worth_of_gogs/post1

Also, even if you're not in, it doesn't mean that your post can't win - remember, this is not your typical GA, it's about rewarding other people for their giveaways. ;)
