A Community Giveaway and The Community Giveaway. When I joined GOG and started to post on community, I saw ACG & TCG. Great work by their hosts (IAmSinistar and moonshineshadow), all generous contributors and nominators. They made many members happy by their amazing gifts and surprises. Big thanks to them.

The beginning of a legend. Possibly the greatest giveaway of all time. It is the epitome of what the Gog community is all about. It brought people here together to do something awesome for others. Whether you donated to the giveaway or nominated someone for a game, you were sure to bring a smile to some unsuspecting person halfway across the net. It has ended but lives on with my next nominee.

The Community Giveaway (plus sub-giveaway Bestseller contest) by moonshineshadow
A continuation of "A Community Giveaway". moonshineshadow took what made the previous incarnation wonderful and added a sub-giveaway to the mix to find the most people to nominate for the games on the CG that not many people wanted or already had. The result was lots of people being granted a game from a giveaway they had no knowledge of. This turned what was simply A Community Giveaway into The Community Giveaway. May it live on for eternity!

A Star Wars Puzzle Giveaway! by coxdr
This giveaway was a personal favorite of mine back in the beginning of this year. coxdr created a very creative puzzle with 2 solutions and 2 prizes. A DARKSIDE puzzle that was easier to solve but resulted in a smaller prize and a LIGHTSIDE puzzle that was much harder but yielded a greater prize. The Darkside puzzle was solved but to this day no one has figured out the solution to the elusive Lightside puzzle.

It was really fun guessing the murderer, weapon and location. I'm in. With all due respect and recognition the the forum members well known for their generosity, I decided to go a different route:

Early this year, WhiteRakogis made us all bet on What is game 1000. We did not even know when GOG's game 1000 would come out! Today GOG lists around 1350 games. That is close to a new game each day! Impressive!

ZFR makes the wonderful The Giveaway of Second Chances. He has done it many times already, but I find it such a neat and singular idea, that I think it needs recognition.

Finally, I like the puzzle giveways (and the games, too)! There are several of them. I'll avoid mentioning ZFR again, so I'll elect grimwerk with his puzzle giveaway 3. mrkgnao also did good work on this class of giveaways.
