Greetings my dear GOGlodytes!

As some of you may know, I've been chosen as a host for this giveaway (because our benefactor is too ). The idea is the same as in the previous [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/2014_best_giveaway_giveaway/post1]year (hosted by ZFR, who AFAIK will be doing something different, but he ok'ed it) - to choose and reward the best giveaways hosted on GOG this year. We didn't see as many GAs as in previous year (mostly because of scammers/alts), but there were still plenty of them, so now is your chance to say which one you liked the most. And so I present you this year's Best Giveaway of 2015 Giveaway. Here are the rules:

1. No rep or join date requirements, but some forum activity in 2015 outside GAs is a must. Known scammers/cheaters/alts will be ignored.

2. To enter, say you're in, and nominate a giveaway that was hosted on GOG in 2015 (this means starting date is 2015 and closing date before the end of this GA) You may nominate up to 3 giveaways (honorable mentions allowed, but you can nominate only 3). It would be also nice if you write a few words about them. And provide links if possible. (And for smart*sses like tinyE - NO, you can't nominate this giveaway :p)

3. Winner will be randomly selected from all qualified nominating posts. The author of that post will get a 5.99$ GOG game that he or she chooses. The host of the nominated giveaway will get a 9.99$ GOG game. If the post nominates more than one giveaway, that will be chosen randomly as well.

4. Participants can make nominations without being in for the $5.99 game (in which case if they win, someone else will be selected randomly).

5. The game for the nominator is for personal use only. No trading/re-gifting. The winning host on the other hand is free to do with the game what they please. If they choose not to take the game, another host will be chosen.

6. Giveaway will end around 10th of January. The winners will be then contacted by our benefactor to claim their prizes.

I think that's all, Ladies & Gentlemen, start your eng... Oops, my mistake, sorry. I mean Let's Rock & Ro... wait, wait, wait, that's not right again. Geez, what's wrong with you triock?! O.o Nevermind, as they say, 3rd time's a charm, sooo

Let the gibeway begins!!!

Well, certainly these are the major ones:
- Sinistar and Moonshineshadow's big Community Giveaways.
- Foxworks and Sachy's recurring TBBBoBs.
- EDIT: ah yes, adamhm's Try Linux GA was quite good too.

Honorable mentions:
- Slaugh minigame GAs, even if I'd prefer a bit less randomness and a shared editable document.

In for tinyE ;P
EDIT: ah ops.. then I'm not in.

P.S: "gib-away" seems like "insta-gib" O_o

I'm sorry if it's not clear, but you can be in only for yourself.
Not strictly a giveaway, but it's a lot of work to host and therefore I nominate trentonlf for hosting the 'Secret Santa' event.
I'm in and my nominees are:

The Community Giveaway series originally hosted by and later by [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_community_giveaway/page1]moonshineshadow

The Bizarrely Bonza Bonanza Bazaar of Bazookery series hosted by foxworks and Sachys

The Big "Try Linux" Giveaway by adamhm

Honorable mention: It's a Shovel Giveaway by RayRay13000

Superb efforts by all of them! and humble sorries for all them great giveaways of 2015 that don't have a nomination here.

Many thanks and good luck to everybody!
I'm in. My nominees are:

In the category of "Best Impersonation of a Perpetuum Mobile": moonshineshadow in "The Community Giveaway" (inherited from IAmSinistar).

In the category of "Most Incredibly Inventive Series of Giveaways": _Slaugh_ in "The Reckless Journey of Santa Claus" (the latest in a long line).

In the category of "Most Affected by the State of Affairs on GOG 2015": Phc7006 in "Mystery game - 4th edition - Giveaway" (the last in a long line).

Honourable mentions:

In the category of "Most Evolved Rule Set": ZFR in "The Giveaway of Second Chances (Q3 2015)" (another GOG perennial)

In the category of "Biggest One-Man Show since real.geizterfahr": adamhm in "The Big "Try Linux" GOG Game Giveaway - Win XIII, The Witcher 3, SW2013 + much more" (and a treasure trove of Linux info to boot)

Thank you, AnonyHappyMouse and triock.

triock: Nominate a giveaway that was hosted on GOG in 2015 (this means starting date is 2015 and closing date before the end of this GA
Just quoting this, so that it becomse clear that the community giveaway can't be nominated :P

I believe the definition of a "closing date" is when the winners are selected and the games distributed. Based on that definition, "The Community Giveaway" has closing dates almost every day and by extension has one (and many more than one) before the end of this giveaway.

Not in, but I certainly nominate the Try Linux Giveaway, which provided a lot of useful information and also gave away a ton of great games. It is amazing that adamhm sat on a code for XIII for over two years before letting me win it!
I'm in and my votes goes to:

1. The Big Try Linux GOG Giveaway, that was extremely useful and continues to be useful even today (but the GA part is long over so I think it qualifies) and

2. A Community Giveaway although it has a continuation GA (like part 2), picked up by moonshineshadow, I will tread this part as a separate, finished giveaway showing us the amazing generosity and the Christmas spirit of the awesome GOG community!
