kalleniemi: SPOILER ALERT:
Oblivion had the most idiotic plot in my opinion. I mean the ending generated a huge "WTF! Was this it?" effect after one guy had turned in to a huge golden dragon and took a short battle with the demon.
EVEN MOAR SPOILERS
Good points you brought up, but i dont think i could ever compare Fallout with Oblivion. Sure, they are both RPG's but they are completely different in my opinion. Sure, oblivion had it's flaws such as:
-repetitive/boring dialogues
--inability to interact more with the npc's
-repetitive voices
But nonetheless i found it had very strong points in other areas. For example, in contrast with fallout i feel that oblivion had a more "adventure game" approach. For example you had books to read(which could hint you to places where to find treasures), side quests which explored the "human" side of npcs or the "magical, mystical" side of the world with quests such as the "Forlorn Watchman". So in a way i found it to be as immersive as Fallout.(though that was broken many times by the flaws specified above)
As for the main quest i really enjoyed it. Sure it could had been much better (such as choosing the reason why you were in jail at the beginning) or influencing it more by the player's choises rather than simply see it unfold, but in my opinion it was rather well done.
kalleniemi: As you can continue your gameplay after the main story has ended it seemed that nothing in the world changed even though the Eternal EVIL had been vanquished. Boooring...
I like what you said here but remember: they simply shut the gates to hell and "cast" the evil in them. In a matter of speaking, i think its their way of saying that you can never completely dispose of evil in the world, which is completely true.
