The game does not even start up. I click 'play' it says syncing for a few seconds then nothing happens. I've tried turning off the GoG overlay, Turned off antivirus. Tried running as admin from bin still nothing.

Windows 7 SP1
I5 4670
EVGA GTX 1060 6gb
16 gigs DDr3
Net Framework 4.8

Anything I need to get the game to launch? Any help is much appreciated.
Same for me. :(
I grabbed newest nvidia drivers and the game boots up now, it crashes after character creation though so I'm not sure what's going on. Similiar setups to you guys

Same here, Win7.
CTD after changing game to run on secomdary display at super wide resolution, then installed new nVidia drivers. Worked. Tried again, but CTD after creation, right after wiping the mirror. Custom character, gone.
Did that again, and CTD even before I get to the mirror.
Won't launch for me either. Just syncs, then play button goes back to green. Directly launching from the folder doesn't work also.

Windows 7 SP1
i7-2600
GTX 1650
16G ddr3

If galaxy doesn't work probably you should try and launch the .exe file from the installation folder...The game is DRM Free so you don't need any launchers to make the game run...At least you can try that until they fix the problem.
Same for me, I tried all the overlay and reboot and driver stuff to fix as mentioned on the support site. Reinstalled vcredist etc.
Nothing helped.

....

Then i had a look at the crash report files ...

and in stacktrace i saw this:

Error reason: Assert
Expression: result == archive::LoadingResult::SUCCESSFUL
Message: Failed to load archive D:\.....\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\content\lang_de_voice.archive, error 1, try regenerating archives!
File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\resource\src\resourcegamedepot.cpp(499)

i had a look for the file mentioned and it wasnt there. I changed the lanugage in the gog configuration to english and the game startetd.

then changed back to german and the download of 5 gb startet...

seriously

64 gb at first
than
30 gb patch
than again 5 gb localization?

maybe that helps anyone.

Install Windows 10 using your Windows 7 key. It's free for Windows 7 owners.
I've been trying for three hours, using everything I've found, rebooting the computer several times, and nothing works.Include didage self-test shows that everything is ok.fking moron
tried changing the language, just dl the 5g language pack. Still didnt start. Also tried disabling cloud save and auto dl, still didnt work. Without some workaround, looks like its time to just wait until 1.04

Same problem here. 960 and Win7 SP1

I had the same problem with Baldur's Gate 3 and returned it.

My best guess is there's something in directX being stubborn since I disabled most of the spyware from SP1. It would be nice if they listed services needed or *ANY* sort of requirements for this "d3d12on7". Do I need to have IE or WMP installed or something? Maybe Clippy can help?

I guess it's time to finally switch to Linux completely and hope Proton will be good enough. It's a real shame there isn't an acceptable version of Windows after 7.
