Veilih: People, cut GOG some slack, ok? It is just a game distribution platform. They are not the ones uploading game files to their servers - the developers/distributors do that.
It is understandable that Larian went on and uploaded the patch to Steam first, and then it took them some time to upload it to GOG as well and to update the game metadata in order to enable the Mac version. At least the EA Mac version was removed from GOG catalogue when the PC game launched, unlike on Steam where the Mac version was there all the time alongside the full PC release with zero indication that it was actually the EA.
Not having a game target macOS at all or not launching on GOG makes us second-class citizens. A delay of several hours doesn't.
That is fair. But gog could do a better job communicating with its' customers, instead of leaving all of us in the dark. I seriously doubt that gog had to delay their release for PC users (relative to steam).
If there was to be a delay this time around, they should communicate it. Many users were insinuating it might not arrive until after the weekend.
