I would like to recall you that we are helping just in spite of our good heart. Getting angry will not help at all.

About ZGI, I am sorry I do not own it. So I cannot try anything.

About ZN, the last section of dosboxzorknemesis.conf is the list of executed commands. Remove every ``cls'' and ``exit''.

The dosbox window should not close by itself anymore. Maybe there is some meaningful error message?

I think language barriers caused miscommunication. I was trying to make a joke. The Incredible Hulk tagline. It was meant to be funny -- looks like it didn't work. I'm sorry if I offended you, that wasn't my intention.

Anyway, I got it working again by deleting EVERYTHING related to the game and starting all over again.

Thanks again for helping me be able to play Nemesis!

Anyone else know what I could change in Grand Inquisitor to make that game playable, too? Thanks in advance!
No problem.

About Zork Grand Inquisitor in Linux km3k says that the Marisa-chan/Zengine works fine.

Maybe it it possible to compile and use it in Windows too?

Zork Grand Inquisitor isn't a DOS game, so it won't work in DOSBox.

Marisa-chan's Zengine that etb mentioned works fine in Linux as far as I can tell. I haven't completed the game with it, but it ran ok for the first couple of hours of the game when I tried it a few months ago. As far as I know, marsia-chan is only testing on Linux right now, so it probably won't compile properly on Windows, but I can't say for sure. Marisa-chan would like to eventually make the Zengine cross-platform and get it incorporated into ScummVM, but I don't know how close those goals are from being reached.

I also maintain the Zork Installation Guides over at The Zork Library. They're for the disc-based versions of the game currently, but maybe something there can help. From what I understand, GOG incorporates something like the "" software I recommend there for helping with the rotation speed, but maybe it's not working for you. [url=http://thezorklibrary.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=375]Take a look at this thread for more info about PanRelief. Maybe you can use PanRelief instead of GOG's built-in solution.

Thanks for the help! I had to re-download the game and am having the same problem with the super-fast panning and can't remember where/how to fix it. Never did figure out how to fix it for Grand Inquisitor. I don't know what to do with the "panrelief.zip" file you linked to. Any further advice regarding that would be helpful. Thanks.

Changing the cycles=max to cycles=60000 worked for me.

:-)

I use the middle setting for pan rotation in the in-game settings (CTRL-P).
