Does anyone know how to deliver energy cells to the headquarters station in order to finish the building of the storage module?
ive been wracking my mind over it.

And by the way does anyone know WHY EVERTYING IS MADE ILLOGIVAL AND COUNTERINTUITIVE? this game is so stupid in the way it organises actions, commands etc.

bought this on sale, and boy is it frustrating.... nothing is as it should be. its playing a bad game from the 90ties.

Edited i removed some of the more colorful terms. because i dont think the devs deserve that. They tried to make a good game.

OK, so you have to make an npc character pilot..... AND THEN you can interact with the build project??!!??
This seems a poor design choice. And it seems like this was not tested in gametesting.

Edited i removed some of the more colorful terms. I do still think, its very regrettable the devs made the choices they made.

You should have made a new thread.

There are indeed some really dumb design choices. I would also have preferred there to be no pilot handling at all. Already in the X3 games it is an annoyance even if they are only used in the universe traders (UTs) as far as I can remember.

Better get used to having to read a lot of how to's in order to get things done in the X games.

GOG lags behind with the off-line installers again!

Yeah, yeah - I get it that this Galaxy client has top priority and yada, yada...

But why the hell do I get off-line installers for the Release Candidate 3 (RC3), when Steam had not only a Release Candidate 4 AND the final version in the mean time. The off-line installer lags 2 versions behind!

Come on - I payed money for the final version DLC, so don't give me some old release candidate installers. That's just lazy...

Indeed, it was RC3 when released today.
Looks like it's already fixed though.

Yep - I just noticed it. However - The download files are still marked as RC4 (Release CANDIDATE 4), so they are probably still not the final version. I am not sure about that, of course, but yeah...

Still - Why the off-line installers are always the last to update is something that does not sit well with me. Luckily the updates are relatively fast now (only about 18 hours late or so), but sometimes you have to wait for days. I don't see why using Galaxy gives you the files at launch time, while the off-line installers are not updated. If GOG get the files early enough to prepare them for Galaxy, then it would be easy enough to update the off-line install files too...

Anyway - Glad it is ehh... Solved? Or is it?

I read the explanation was that since GOG needs a bit of time to make those offline installers, Egosoft send them the RC3 files so we get something on the hour.

I honestly do NOT know if this is the case here but I do know that often the last release candidate (RC) = the release.

I am not even going to bother downloading v6.0 but wait for a patch with more fixes but some players must try this version so the bugs are found and fixed.
Yesterday I downloaded 6.0 and the Boron extension (Linux Version).

I must say, from 2-3 hours playing, that the game is much more playable now just because of the drastically reduced time of startup, load and save. My favourite extensions (Resource Rebalance and X4 Customizer) also do work.

But I leave bug hunting to others, am too casual a player.
I went ahead and downloaded a clean 6.0 from Galaxy just to have the files but I'm also waiting on the manual updates.

But reading the X4 Scripting forum many mods don't work yet with 6.0 so it may be a while before I restart playing on 6.0 anyway or I'll just start a new clean game just to tinker with the new X Tech 5.
