Unfortunately your solution would not have worked for me. I have an ATI card. For some reason after clicking on Enable GPU scaling the sub-options are greyed out. This was actually the first thing I tried.

I read another post where someone said the same thing, this option was greyed out for them as well.

Have tried the setting for 'maintain aspect ratio' to no avail, and when in windowed mode, I don't seam to be able to get it out of default resolution, despite adjusting the 'windowed resolution'

I must be doing something wrong, but cant work out what.

any help appreciated.
