Just a question: does GOG's release have the Righteous Fire expansion pack or not?

Similarly I would also like to know what version Privateer this is, if it has Righteous Fire expansion and also what, if any, version of digital speech pack included.

So is it:

A) Original Privateer
B) Privateer + Speech
C) Privateer + Righteous Fire
D) Classics version which had more speech + Righteous Fire.

I would assume option D would be the version sold but some clarification on the product page would be great =)

Quickly losing interest if these are all going to be vanilla releases.

The Gog version has speech when talking to the bartender or in space. So I guess it includes the speechpack. However I've never played the original Privateer so I can't compare.

That would be option B then, Privateer + Speech Pack.

I have faith that they'll be working on getting the Classics release, so will hold on this one for now =)

It's actually not Privateer with the speech pack--it's the CD version (with full speech) with Righteous Fire sliced out. The speech pack only added voices to the introduction and during combat... and they actually had a different set of voice actors.

This is a game killer. I will not purchase the game if it doesn't have the expansion pack. Same reason I never bought Ghost Recon.

I own Wing Commander Privateer. I bought the collectors CD way back once upon a time. I can download Privateer Remake or Privateer Gold any time I want. I want to purchase this from GOG to show my support.

Without the expansion pack, I will not do this. I cannot show my support when the game companies are putting excessively restrictive licensing on the games to release on GOG.

Longtime Wingnut, first time GOGer. I'm glad to see my favorite franchise coming back to the masses again. Anything to help support this fantastic franchise I'm ready for!

I hope you guys keep haranguing EA for the expansion pack. Those guys are absolute d*cks. I mean what's the incremental value to them for keeping RF!

Please get the rights to Strike Commander too.

I got myself a CD of WC:Privateer and Strike Commander last Christmas. I'd gladly buy the Gog edition if you can get Privateer and RF.

What's the point in owning Privateer if you don't have the expansion? I was about to buy this game but now I am going to wait until you get the expansion. No expansion, no buy.

Too bad... EA still is EA, even on GOG :-(
Any chance the expansion will be added later on (like with the Director's cuts from Broken Sword)? I still have the original Privateer somewhere, but I've never owned the expansion. Adding the expansion would really help me part with my money...

GOG were probably wise to keep the lack of the Righteous Fire campaign quiet in their publicity
