Cypers: Hey,

In my case, Galaxy client just updated the game to the latest ver.1.0.70.404 without issues.
If you decide to report this issue to my colleagues from the Customer Support team via. LINK, please remember to attach your Galaxy client logs to your message :)

You can find logs in these locations:
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\logs on Windows.
/Users/Shared/GOG.com/ on Mac.
No such file name. Unable to find.

Meantime the problem still persists two weeks on. This is simply not good enough and I will try to request a refund.

EDIT: I requested a refund for myself and the copy I bought for my girlfriend who had not redeemed it due to being caught up with stuff. I uninstalled and decided to try a fresh install and it works now. I have sent a ticket cancel refund for both and replied to the ticket receive request to update to cancel this request. All being well it will go ok.

Same issue, not able to get new update even after uninstall the game and install it back again :-(

Why this is happening only on GOG :-(

All the time the same issues here...
I noticed a brand new small update late last night and so gave it a go precariously. You guessed it. Failed to update. I also tried again this morning as I was writing this.

I will uninstall and try once again. But, I am NOT doing this every update.

EDIT: Installation failed. I am at a loss here as it has been long enough to resolve this.

I refunded a game a few months ago as it would not install and was a multplayer on sale I got for myself and my partner. I ended up refunding that too. I was avoiding buying here for a few months, but let it go as it was what I thought a one off. Seems this is happening a lot. I am going right off GoG now and will avoid buying from them completely.

We can blame Owlcat but obviously something funny is going on with GoG.
So far it's working:

Uninstalled
Changed 'Temp game update folder' \Games\Temp
Installed with the 'Automatic Update' unchecked, played a new throw away game, then checked the box and it updated to Version 1.081.418.

So far, so good; did not have to whitelist the game in my AV as well.

The Silence from GOG or Owlcat is not a welcoming feeling ~ Re: "my and someone else Post about a file in the game being seen as harmful"

So is GOG just staying silent during this?

Or Gog is currently working on this.

I have and had the same problems. Uninstall and install every time there was an update sucks, but it worked. Right now it doesn't. Right now it's unable to connect to gog servers out of support choices for games and even uninstall doesn't work (must be because it's only installed up to 92%)

BUT

I learned to trust gog. Out of 700 games (don't ask) it's the first one that makes problems like that. And it's possible if not probable that they work on it right now and THAT's the reason I can't connect at the moment.

RT is a great game. Gog remains a good platform with many advantages. Yes, updating RT sucks. Cloud synch fails cause "Not enough memory (200MB)" seems laughable. But they'll work on it.
And I will play RT again.

tremor3258: This seems to have worked for me.
I've been facing the same issue for the past two weeks. I tried this solution which seemed not to work at the beggining.

Then I manually created a "Temp" Folder in C:\Program Files\GOG Galaxy\Games and I set both "temporary game update folder" and "other downloads folder" in this new "Temp" folder.

It worked and the 14.40go Update was correctly downloaded.
Hope it might help other people who doesn't have found the solution yet.
Sry for the language mistakes tho, I'm not English

This worked for me as well. Manually creating the Temp folder in File Explorer before doing the process inside Galaxy. Something about the interaction between Rogue Trader, Galaxy, and my computer (and a bunch of other people's computers) default settings. I'm on Windows 11, with basically out of the box settings, save turning off Microsoft's ads. I wonder if the people who aren't having the problem with Galaxy are on Windows 10 more often than not. Never had any problem like this with anything except Rogue Trader. Got to be some kind of weird edge case permissions thing with Galaxy. If it's a driver or hardware issue I'd be quite shocked.
