I just got this game and am thrilled with the design and graphics. I'm running it at 2500 res on a 32" screen and feel like I am there. Very cool. Yes, I am miffed at not being able to Save, but everyone has covered that already.

I'm finding the game a bit hard to understand. Since I downloaded it, it did not come with any sort of background on how to play it except assigned navigation keys. So, what I was supposed to do when a bunch of words started appearing on the screen? ( I finally realized they were a way to locate something). In a way, this is very real-world, and you have to figure out what is going on, but when it comes to actually making some progress in the game itself, even a teensy Manual would have helped.

I thought I solved the Traps even though I did not know what the hell I was supposed to be doing, ("What is the 'Sense' thing and why did it get bigger?") and yet I apparently didn't solve it based on what other people have said about a "scene" afterwards. All I saw is a field full of skulls and then that went away. Same with the murder scene at the train tracks. I put the scenes in order and nothing happened. I almost didn't see the tiny wording that said to sense it, and then I got the movie.

Is the whole point of this game to make everything as obscure as possible in a world so surreal that we have no idea what is going on? Just wondering. I'm into it, just puzzled about its design.
First of all: A version of the game ported to Unreal Engine 4 should come out any day now and is supposed to contain save anywhere system and a few gameplay and graphical enhancements, so I suggest you wait a bit before continuing to play the game.

Now, spoilers. And I suggest you mark your post as such as well, even if they're extremely minor.

As for the trap puzzle, you have to find all the traps and when you do so, hold down the 'sense' button for long enough to 'pass' trough into the field with sculls - that's where you find some additional information.

When it comes to the investigation bit, after you manage to put the scenes in the right order, there should be a 'play' button - if the scenes are not ordered correctly, the resulting cinematic will interrupt before ending. If they are correct, all the scenes 'combine' into a single ... Eh ... Wisp thing and fly off somewhere on the map (the beach IIRC) and you then need to proceed there and collect it.

It would actually be quite difficult to create an encompassing manual as just about every puzzle has its own mechanics, with the exception of the investigation ones. I found it all quite intuitive, but not everybody is me sadly - I am superhuman! Seriously tho, wait for the Unreal Engine 4 version, I imagine they enhanced more than just what I described.

Edit: Oh, so it's not save anywhere, but it saves a lot more often.
