About new beta version of 9.8... Do Fortitude and Stamina work again? I've tested it a bunch of times and it seems that soaking comes only from clothes now. I used console to get my Ventrue max stamina and Fortitude, and that should have been more than enough to make bullets useless, but cops shooted through me like it was no big deal.

Just wanted to clarify: is Unofficial Patch makes it possible for your ghoul to survive her Sabbath encounter after she gives the player last armor (if player advises her to fight back)?
I have very old script mod which enables that option, but afraid to install it - the game is already capricious enough.

And again - thank you for all your work & dedication to this game.

IIRC the unofficial patch provides a way to get the armor without your ghoul dying - but it means you'll have to buy the armour later instead of having her just hand it to you. I think you may need the Plus patch for this though...

I did the same and it works fine, no .38 damage comes through with Stamina 5 and Fortitude 5 active.

I don't know then. I've reinstalled the game and patch for this matter. Made yet another test of this, but got the same results. Cops with glocks ignore all my bashing soak. Besides, fortitude doesn't show up in the list, as it should be.
EDIT: Well, I've tested this with basic patch now and this time everything works fine. Batons and other bashing melee weapons are useless and bullets deal much less damage, if any. And it actually shows up in charachter sheet that discipline added 5 points in all soak. But it seems that in plus version this doesn't work for some reason.

It works fine in the plus version on my system too and I get blue +Fortidudelevel info on the character sheet! If you don't get that, somehing is indeed wrong...

Yep, that's quite unfortunate. I also tried it on my second laptop, but got the same result. I don't know what caused it and how undo this.

Very soon. And if you are in a hurry, there won't be much difference between 9.8 beta 3 and final except for minor graphical stuff.

I assume the one in the hotel room. At a guess I'd say there was an exploit where you could get on the bed and she wouldn't be able to hit you since originally she only attacks in melee? TBH I didn't even know this exploit existed as she's not exactly a challenging opponent.

Ah and i rushed to assume, that a + patch feature might have added something "spicy" there... Well, there is a better exploit. Open door, wait outside, mid-talk door shuts, then you have time to prepare while she sits idly inside and her disciplines slowly run off (presence).
