Is the multiplayer in Two Worlds 2 like that in 1, by which I mean: we need CD Keys (has GOG set up an automatic system for providing these at purchase yet?), to play locally we have to first connect to some distant server (are there at least North American servers for this one?) and there's no offline LAN coop?

I still don't understand why the first one didn't have LAN coop but had a convoluted online mode (which had to take more work to implement) that my gaming group and I found too tedious (and lag-ridden) to use.
Yes, you need a CD-key to play multiplayer in Two Worlds 2, just like the first one. Yeah, there is an automated system now, so after you buy it, your key will be under your game in your game list. No, no offline LAN play.

I haven't played in a while, so I don't know if the North American servers are still up, if I get a chance later I'll try to see.

Do new games still include LAN? ;) I haven't seen a game with LAN in a long time. Even lots of older games with multiplayer didn't have LAN, and now they're hard to play with others due to it.
