I've just downloaded and unzipped the folders inside the tag_karma_game.zip file downloaded from the bonus content. Vipre anti-virus immediately quarantined the setup.exe file as a virus. Can anyone else confirm whether this download is infecter or not? Both folders have karma_chapter_x.exe files which I presume are the actual games.
I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials. I unzipped the folder and ran karma_chapter_1.exe without any issues or warnings.

The setup.exe file also comes clean at my end, i just used it to change the controls.

No problems with Zone Alarm Extreme Security either.
GOG has never sold, or given away as with this game, virus-infected files. It's a false positive and I would recommend changing your AV software for something better...like Avast! or AVG :D.
Thanks for the info, the virus checker must have detected the fact that the setup.exe alters the game file to change the controls then and regarded it as a threat. I didn't think that GoG would allow an infected file to get out there, but a second set of eyes never harms.

As for using another anti-virus, Vipre has saved my neck a couple of times,. and I'd rather get a false positive than something get past.

OK I am not knocking your views or anything so please don't take this the wrong way but did you ever ask yourself why a company would sell a virus-laden file? I only ask because this is not the first time someone asked about a virus being in a game file.

Never used Vipre so I can't make a comment as to its effectiveness.
@JudasIscariot. No offence taken friend, however it never hurts to ask. I never believed that GoG would knowingly sell a game with a virus in it, however I have been in the business long enough to know that a virus can evade detection only to be picked up by something else, which is why I was asking for a double check from anyone with a different virus checker. I still have memories of buying a commercial game many years ago which was later recalled because it was found to have picked up a virus at the final mastering stage - I was one of the unlucky few that nearly got hit by it.

It never hurts to be too careful and as I got a warning I was just asking whether anyone else had received a warning as each virus checker tends to have its own quirks, and I have mine set to a high threat level so it does tend to pick up on false positives as well.

I have since scanned it with AVG and Avast in case it was something picked up from my machine - it has happened, and both have reported it as clean.
Norton Internet Security 2012 also doesn't like these files, although normal Treasure Adventure Game works fine.

I have the same issue while scanning my PC with Lavasoft's AdAware.
Same here with Comodo Security Premium
Kaspersky also gets a bit cranky about this file, but I also think it's a false positive. Kaspersky likes to do that. It's a good antivirus, but it's overprotective and labels many programs viruses that are not.
It comes up as a flase positive for Trend Micro.
