The problem with making a TA 2 is the answer to what are you going to change that won't immediately make it less good than the original?
If you change the way production works = less good
If you change the way combat works = less good
You CAN improve the graphics.
You CAN improve the pathfinding and AI (already done in mods though)
Can you change any of the units? F off = less good
Can you add new units? Absolutely!
Can you add higher construction levels? Absolutely!
So basically the secret to a good TA2 is to NOT change what is already there, but to build on it.
