Roll31: I preordered it as well but the game released on the 14th of February, so depending on time zones I think today will be 29-30 days since it released.
If you want to ask for a refund, do it anyway. This is a very flawed release, so I think a refund is justified even if the 30 days are over. OK, the original games are playable (tank controlls and old school gfx), but there is so much stuff still bugged or unfinished, modern controlls are near-unplayable (and seem to be mostly unchanged even after the patch), achievements on GOG don't work at all. And these are features that were heavily advertized!
I already considered a refund myself - but then again I really wanted to play TR again, so I keep it for now.
However I was very hyped for this release - and this whole affair is so annoying I don't even really want to play it anymore.
So really great work for Aspyr and Saber and whomever! Thanks a lot for this really frustrating experience!!!
Should have learned my lesson long ago: never ever ever pre-order, never erver ever get hyped for a game before you got proper reviews and forum feedback... :(

QWEEDDYZ: Guys. Its just 2 days delay. First time, huh? :p
There was 12 overall builds in API. There is one way look if something going on in Changelog secrion for public branch. And this link for private
https://content-system.gog.com/products/1407750955/os/windows/builds?generation=2
or http://content-system.gog.com/products/1407750955/os/windows/builds?
According to it for last 24 hrs nothing happened - still 12 builds. I ront know how many was for 24+ earlier.

FIrst time? In GOG in general, no. Been buying games here for years.
For a brand new somewhat high profile game? Yeah.
Well, I mean, I bought new games here before in the past, I got Unmetal at launch (and it did update timely when they released a patch, mind you), but nothing like a new Tomb Raider (even if it is a remaster, this isn't some small indie game)
The thing is that, so far, we have had a not-so-great track record when it comes down to this game's PR, releases and announcements.
Mind you, I love the game madly and it arguably was handled by a true dream-team of historical Tomb Raider fans, modders and level editors, and so far they are doing a great job, as a game, it truly is a fan's dream come true. But when it comes down to the publisher itself, there has been a total lack of transparency and communication, so far we've had:
-A patch one day after release in GOG because someone forgot they had to do some adjustments for the saving system to work in GOG. I myself experienced the game locking out on me when trying to go to Lara's basement to grab the quad key, which wasn't solved until said patch was installed (couln't ride the quad without doing the corner glitch at launch)
-Broken achievements on the Epic version at launch
-Then we found out that the Epic store version was a version that had been uploaded by mistake. This wasn't commented on or aknowledged by the publisher untill almost two weeks later. Turns out that it was a developer only version which had some things and features that were more worked on / advanced than the release version, apparently.
-When it is announced that a patch would arrive at an unspecified time, they handled the Epic store version thing by reverting it back to be the same as the others, which while it may have avoided some unexpected bugs, it also removed some of the features this version had over the vanilla one.
-This didn't solve the broken achievements on the Epic version, mind you! So these users ended up with a worse version than the rest of players for weeks! This one point in particularly doesn't set a good precedent and is the one that makes me the most uneasy regarding the current situation here in GOG.
-Days go by and the new update arrives. While some of the developers show the actual work being done in social networls (Delca showed the inmense work that had been done fixing and lining up previously stretched textures everywhere) the official update notes make small work of the patch, are way too brief, omit a lot of the important stuff that had been fixed, like the revised modern controls, and don't list a lot of the many, many changes that were actually done to the game, making the update seem unmiportant when the work done was inmense. Users in forums who are not close fans who check tomb raidr forums regularly are expedtedly baffled with the time taken for the patch to arrive when reading said release notes.
-Modders find out that the poses that were in the Epic version (and later removed) don't show up, but they are actually in the game and can be restored with the help of mods.
-Official announcements are made stating that absolutely ALL PLATFORMS have been updated, when this was not clearly the case since GOG remains, as of me writing this, unupdated.
So yeah, judging by the experience the Epic Store users wen't through for an entire month, I'm not holding my hopes up for this one. Too many weird things have gone down already for me to keep my trust up.
As a customer, I felt legitimely uneasy, so, not without some reservations, I decided to refund it and get the Steam one.

Yes, it's the lack of any information that's the main issue. If there was a statement somewhere saying "it's coming, please bear with us" or similar, I'd happily wait, but having seen other posts on online suggesting that occasionally games on GOG have never received some updates that have gone onto say Steam (in all honesty, I've no idea how true that is), it's rather off putting.
I'll wait to see if a refund is actually processed as I've never requested one on this site before (come to think of it, I've never requested a refund for any game on any platform before), I won't purchase on Steam beforehand as I certainly can't justify buying the same game twice

Well, I ended up doing the same. I asked for a refund and will be purchasing the Steam version instead.
I'm terribly disappointed with GOG.

On GOGDB, it says last updated on 2024-03-15 05:51, which could mean that the update will be here 5 hours after this post, or it could just be a false alarm, either way, I'll find out when I wake up.

Yeah, but that refers to the last update to the INFORMATION on the page, not to the game release!
The last build mentioned there is version 1.01 from 2024-02-14 - and we all know THAT...

Seems like GOG could've avoided many refunds if it had better CX. A single statement "don't worry guys, it's coming" would suffice.

Not sure it is their fault.

The guy says he's from the GOG team - and they don't know anything about the patch.

If you want to be productive, file a complaînt form on aspyr support website. It s unfair to blame GOG for this because it most certainly isn*t. Of course I have no proof of that but the lack of reaction and consideration on Aspyr side about the Epic situation points toward that.
For most of us we are GOG customers because we want to support DRM free games. It s a commitment against bad publisher practices and sometimes we have to fight for it.
So yeah this situation sucks but complaining in a forum won t do anything. Write a mail to gog support also. Make the situation well known. the more people will do this, the more we can expect results. It people didn t raise a voice about it the Epic situation wouldn t have been know also. We are a minority on GOG.
So we have to raise our voices.

I think when he said he is Team GOG, I think he means it in the way of "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob", and not that he works for GOG.Look here, post #8: https://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=229101

Not a good "look" GOG
I don't mind a bit of a delay, but this is too much. Reminds me of the Darksiders 2 (not Deathinitive, I won't play that buggy mess) release that would not save settings (GOG version only) and you'd have to go fix them every time you launch the game and they NEVER did fix that. NOT cool!

It's sad GOG won't even put out a statement about it. Consumers have a right to a working product and I my priority for PC games is now with Steam because at least then you have a working game...
Sad, so sad how GOG has fallen.

They can't make a statement if they are unaware because the publisher didn't reach to them . They have a whole store to run . Sad, so sad how GOG has fallen.
That's why our voice is important . Did you contact support ? both GOG and Aspyr ?

Aspyr could just release the new patch on their website, making it downloadable, like in the Good Old Days of patches. It is not GOG's responsibility to make sure that Aspyr's games are up-to-date, especially when Aspyr is just as quiet on this as GOG. For all we know, Aspyr has no intention of supporting GOG's release and I can't for the life of me imagine GOG deliberately holding an update back from its users.
