Hey there! After you purchase your game on GOG and download the Windows .exe installer, you just need to download the Porting Kit app for Mac at portingkit dot com to "port" your game to Mac. Once Porting Kit is installed and opened, select the Library tab at the top, then within the Library window on the left select the Server tab instead of Local. On the right use the Search bar and search for Tomb Raider, and you will get a list of all the TR games that are on the Porting Kit servers. Hover the one you want with your mouse and a big arrow should appear, click it and follow the install instructions. It will download the WSI file first, then you will be prompted to choose the GOG game installer you already have. Complete the installation, IGNORE the few (4 or 5) errors that will appear as they are NORMAL and do not affect anything so just click OK on all, then choose Exit and NOT Load. This will complete the installation correctly, and you're good to go. In the Library tab now choose Local instead of Server, you will see your game on the shelf. You're ready to play! First time you launch it you should get an old Windows-ish looking window, where you can choose the resolution and other parameters. Ignore everything else, only set your own screen resolution and colour depth to 32 Bit. Assuming you have a Mac with a high resolution you need to do this, otherwise you'll be playing in 640x480 px resolution which is ancient. There shouldn't be any issues... I have ported TR 4 & 5 with this method, and they both work just fine. Anyways, you can also find a few TR games on the official Mac App Store, in case you didn't know. Depends on which one you're looking to play! :)

This is a very late answer, but imo the simplest solution by far is to get Windows 8 or 10 and use Mac OS's (OS X) Bootcamp software to install Windows--and away you go! (Win10 if Apple is now supporting Win10 with Bootcamp.) Bootcamp is provided free by Apple with every Mac because for several years now Macs have been 100% IBM-PC compatible x86 PC clones under the skin--and as such Windows will run natively on your Mac, today--just like on a Dell or other PC brand. (Apple supplies the Windows hardware drivers with Bootcamp.)

It's great news for Mac owners who enjoy PC gaming because it means no more waiting on Mac/OS X versions of games you want--to see if they are ever released for OS X--most are not--and it's especially great for running older PC games like these. It's much a better solution than running emulators on top of OS X, etc. Gaming requires horsepower and Macs generally are fairly slow in that department, anyway, so you don't need the extra overhead emulators require to suck up the horsepower your game might well ask for and demand!

Bootcamp support was one of the best things Apple has ever done for Mac purchasers, imo. Good luck. (It's not as good as running a Win10x64 machine, of course, but it's great for Mac purchasers now that Apple has moved to x86 clones like the rest of the market.) Good luck!
