srncarl: Just decompress this and you'll find that the troll dlc is in the cookedpc folder. Just take it and dump it into cookedpc folder in your Witcher 2 install directory.
Thanks for sharing, now we can stop hammering the CDP dlc server.
Point of drm free games is to not have this issue. Taking cut content, labeling it as dlc, and releasing it on day 1 goading you into agreeing to drm sure is... trolling your customers.
I don't see what this has to do with drm. You had to have a GOG account and pay for the game to download it, is that drm?
Here it's the same, they require people to be registered and logged in with a valid copy of the game to download dlcs and patches. I don't think you want illegal downloaders of TW2 to hammer the servers to download those, costing CDP and/or GOG bandwith and degrading your experience as a customer.
The only thing I find questionable is their launcher; they should have a web page as backup where you can login and download dlcs/patches, and install manually if the launcher f***s up. But software always fails in unexpected ways, and now if they do a hasty patch to the launcher as some of you are asking they have high chances of breaking something else for some people. So just be patient.
