2) Patch 1.1 Corrections

1. The process of installing and activating the game is now easier and more stable. SECUROM copy protection has been removed entirely, making the game DRM free!
2. The “Troll Trouble” DLC package is included in the patch, bringing to an end any and all problems related to downloading this content.
3. Problems related to downloading other free DLC have also been resolved. The game launcher now correctly detects and updates specific modules.
4. Game efficiency has been improved. Game now runs 5-30% more efficiently and game loading has been accelerated. Efficiency increases will vary depending on system configuration and game version. Owners of boxed versions of The Witcher 2 are likely to notice the greatest improvements.
5. Bugs causing the game to crash, especially while saving game progress or loading saved games, have been corrected.
6. Movement key mapping has been expanded to include cursor (arrow) and number pad keys.
7. Options have been added for inverting the X and Y axes of the mouse.
8. NVidia 3D Vision Surround now works correctly with the game.
9. The hardware configuration auto-detect function has been corrected, resulting in improved game efficiency.
10. A bug preventing the completion of the “Blood Curse” quest has been corrected.
11. After beating the GOG.com penitent monk in the mini-game, the relevant link now displays correctly.
12. GOG.com credits have been corrected.

If you have encountered problems not covered by any of the fixes listed above, please bear with us. We are working a second patch, designed to correct another set of problems and bugs, including those related to specific hardware, e.g. Logitech G35 headsets. Look for the next patch towards the end of May.

I found in in the supplementary files for Witcher 2. 9.3 MB zip file. just go to your virtual disk libray, click it and a popup should appear (if you have javascript disabled you'll have to enable it, but every gog'er probably knows that already)

To Trolls DLC? really, though tthe patch was supposed to include that. Or is this not the full patch yet...
Its in the installed directory for the game; I found it by clicking property of the desk top icon; going to target and then listing the files by modified date to put the readme file near the top. Very precise :)

CalinRO: I can play the game on max settings including uber sampling on 23-35 fps, and that was before the patch, i tested again with the patch, nothing special. The patch has 14mb, what could you expect from it ?
I am sad, because of another problem, the gpu usage is decreasing in some areas, resulting of about 20 fps loose for me.

NewYears1978: I want to know what your computer specs are, and what FPS you get with UBER OFF.
Well, nothing to fancy, intel i5 @3.5ghz, 6gb ddr3,gtx570 @850 core clock. I get in 1680x1050 with all settings max, except motion blur(is a crap, don't like it) and uber sampling 75-80 fps when the gpu usage is 99%, when decreases to 70%( hell of a game bug, needs fix) i get 57 fps.

No to me ... where is the problem to me ? . I cant remap the number pad keys ...
Still no options to change all the keys I like. :(
I hoped to get rid of the left-mouse-click for all the actions (as pick stuff up, talk and open doors). A man can dream...
Thanks, revial!
Sadly, they didn't patch anything I need patched. Except maybe the DOF crashes. Maybe. I'll better not try this again before someone can definitely confirm that controller works (works better would be rad, but I'd settle).

No matter which patch I download I still get the invalid/incomplete game version error.

you2:
But not BEFORE you execute it, the info can only get there, when the patch writes teh new readme.
With latest ATI hotfix plus 1.1 Patch I got some 15 FPS more on max graphic settings (Uber sampling off, of course) on my 5850, so I can say I am very pleased.

The only thing I've noticed (and I ran the game fine without the patch) is that pressing Esc to reach the main menu happens faster for me than it did pre-patch. In fact, so far it's been instant. Only 15 mins spent playing though.

Otherwise, in the 15 mins I've played, I can't say I noticed any improvements (but that's a big one for me). Then again, I didn't have any performance issues other than the menu taking time to pop up sometimes.

Some people are reporting "troll Trouble" isn't included in the gog 1.1 patch. can Anyoney verify or refute this claim? I downloaded it from the GOG site no trouble, just look carefully in the supplementary section of files.

So you have a decent system, and the game runs decent. It's not running like an FPS..but why would it. This is the heaviest GFX intensive RPG ever created. You are getting good FPS. Uber sampling isn't made for current gen computers..you'd need some insane powerhouse to use it and still be playable.

So you should be happy.
