MADPADDY: The config file isnt write protected is it ??.
No ...but I think I will delete those config files for the heck of it to see if I can get the game to work properly... backing those files up first of course...

Hold on guys... Those are the wrong cfg files by looks of things. I found cfg files in C:\Users\My name\Documents\Witcher 2\Config

The cfg files in there all have last modified timestamps matching the times that I changed my settings and match the ones in the install directory.

B3RTLE: Look ...this is with pretty much the highest settings without Uber Sampling, whats the deal? ....even if I enable Uber Sampling it still looks like crap:

In-game graphics settings: http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn134/BES12000/Witcher%202/Witcher2graphicssettings.jpg <--it doesn't seem to matter what settings I use ..the game still looks blurry like that..

Catalyst Control Panel settings: http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn134/BES12000/Witcher%202/Witcher2catalystcontrolpanelsettings.jpg <--even if I disable AF in catalyst control panel it still looks like the pics above..

System Specs:
AMD 1090T @ 3.2Ghz/3.8ghz Turbo

CrossfireX stock OCed 1gig HD6870's (11.5 Drivers)

Looking at your screenshots, your afterburner numbers are blurred also.(top left)
So that would indicate CCC settings, not ingame settings.
Use the ingame AA and dont force any AA in CCC.
As a matter of fact, set CCC to defaults and go from there.

Thanks but I already did that ....no graphics settings will get rid of the blurry ... im in give up mode atm ..
I manually modified all the config files and turned everything off in Catalyst control panel and I tried turning everything off in the games settings ... went through each setting changing stuff back ....each setting was still blurry ...like the game is stuck in low quality mode..
I even tried editing the rendering file ..to try to force high quality ...last resort is to try a complete un-install and re-install...

The video card drivers I just installed ..

Interesting. I would compare your renderer settings in PCUber.ini (Documents\Witcher 2\Config\profiles) to those in your user.ini (Documents\Witcher 2\Config) and see if there are any differences. If there are try copying and pasting (backup originals first) to see if that will bump you up to the ultra spec preset.

And as mentioned above double check all your Catalyst Control Center settings and make sure they are at "Application Controlled" also. Sometimes forcing AA or other settings can cause strange issues.

You do have the game running at the native resolution for your monitor dont you,if you dont on Most LCD monitors it will look like that blurry.

Yeah, native 1920x1080 ...its the monitors highest setting..

It's an ASUS VE246 http://www.all-monitors.com/monitors/manufacturers/pos/asus_ve246h

Mmmm very odd monitor cables in correctly is all i can think of other than reinstall graphic card drivers.
Try looking for the "Mipmap Detail Level" setting in the CCC and move the slider to "Quality". The option for mine is in-between the "Catalyst AI" and "Wait for vertical refresh" but your settings doesn't seem to be ordered in the same way as mine.

I specifically mention this because I had a similar problem with blurry textures in Mass Effect 2. Changing the mipmap made a big difference as seen below.

Hmm..seems I would have to revert to an older Catalyst Control panel to get that setting...
You probably did what I did and chose the 'high' option for 'texture downscaling'. The higher this is, the worse textures look. Turn it off.
Now im getting upset .... the STEAM version does the same exact thing .... I fully un-installed the GOG version and installed the STEAM version and its still all blurry..

................ final option is to dig for the old control panel ....to see if that works ...10.5 was it? dont remember what one had the old control panel..
Have you tried killing SSAO or Depth-of-Field settings in the advanced settings for TW2?
I've had both of those really mess up game-textures from time to time in various games.
Especially DoF doesn't always work properly with ATI cards in my experience.

For me the Witcher 2 is currently as crisp as can be with my ATI HD5870 running CCC 11.4.

Yeah I dont understand ...nothing happens when I change graphics settings....nothing ....game looks exactly the same ...no matter what setting I change... actually im starting to think it has to do with my anti-virus or a firewall setting..
