Sorry for bumping this thread (yeah, bumping a sticky, sure), but for somebody starting the game for the first time, something like Flash Mod > Texture Mod > Model Mod would be the best, yeah? Just want to make sure I'm not installing stuff that isn't compatible or would ruin the game for a first timer.

Yup.

chautemoc: Yup.
Alright, thank you.
Is the Texturen Mod supposed to be drastically different from the vanilla textures? Because even after installing it twice, I don't see a major difference in texture quality, especially in regards to the Gate to Dyke from the Temple Quarter.

It's significant enough to be worth installing, at least for me. And I doubt every texture is redone...it's amateur work after all. If you're not satisfied then remove it
Crossroads eng version came out

So I'm just wondering: did you see a better looking texture for the Gate to Dyke from the Temple Quarter after installing the pack? Or any of the gates in Vizima, for that matter? Which parts are supposed to look better compared to the old one? Are there any comparison screenshots I could see?

It's been awhile but if I recall correctly, it was mostly building textures affected. Comparison shots - none that I know of, but you can see the results on the mod page.
Downloading the hi-res texture and character mods now. Thinking about grabbing the Alchemy mod recommended by Pangaea666 as well, sounds very useful.

@Nobake Was it worth it? did the graphics improve in your eyes?

The texture pack made no difference to my eyes. The character mod was an improvement however.

Due to a series of mishaps with my pc and my save files, I never finished the game. When I reinstall to try again I'll likely not bother with either mod.
Lol, I've never seen this list before :p Very neat OP.
There's a new overhaul mod that just came out called Rise of the White Wolf. I've been playing with it a bit. Pretty nice.
Okay, all these mods are great and all, but, what I'd like to know is, since you can load your final saved game into The Witcher 2, do any of these mods cause problems when you do so?

If there are problems loading your final saved game into The Witcher 2 with any of these mods, could that be noted in the main list (or another compatibility list made for making sure you have no problems when continuing your character in The Witcher 2)?
I noticed that all the links to the cd project red forums don't work anymore due to recent forum changes it seems. I wonder if there is any chance to get them fixed?
