Towards the end of Dreamfall, Zoe's mother wanted her daughter to talk to Fath and tell her to let go (Faith should be dead), because she is causing the static and harming the world. But why did the mother have to kill Zoe with an overdose of the dream drug during her lucid state? Zoe will just take over from Faith and continue the static, whereby nothing would have changed.

her mother isn't very bright, I guess
A bit redundant, but SPOILER WARNING!

It's obvious that Helena Chang (Zoe's mother) is lying (or at least not telling the whole truth) to Zoe there about her motivations and that she has some yet-to-be-revealed agenda/plans that required for Zoe to be in coma, if not dead. It is expected that the truth about her and her plans will be revealed by the end of the sequel, Dreamfall: Chapters, though the issue hasn't been addressed yet in the first two Books (episodes).
The first three books in Dreamfall Chapters all begin with the letter "R" (Reborn, Rebels, and now Realms). I predicted that the third book might have been named "Revenge", when the Azadi slaughtered some of the rebels at the end of book two. However, now that we know the name of the third book is called "Realms", is it a coincidence that it still begins with the letter"R"? Spooky as Crow would say.

Revelation, of course. :-)

Guter: Revelation, of course. :-)
I don't know if that name can be used again, it was already one of the titles in the Myst series of games.
I think Dreamfall Chapters; book four will be out next week! I think it was created simultaneously along-side book three (Realms). However, it may only be five minutes long - as this seems to be the trend now, as each book automatically does get shorter and shorter than its predecessor!

You should be excited! How long did it take you to finish book three? And don't tell me you are still trying to work it out!

Average completion time on the first attempt is somewhere between 3.5 and 5 hours. :)

Yes, that sounds about right. I completed the game in about five hours, but it felt much shorter than that! Apart from the two main characters (Zoe & Kian), the other characters in the game did not have much of a role to play this time (shame).

I think April is now out of the story altogether, and I doubt if they will ever bring her back.

Well, I think they already did – Saga is remembering April's past, obviously, and turned out a Shifter like her. Now all we need is for her to grown up and get April's voice (Sarah Hamilton)...

Do you think Saga is a reincarnation of April? If so, I hope they do change her bloody voice back to Sarah Hamilton, Saga's voice is terrible and out of character, and also they could have made her a bit better looking (I will never see April again in the same light)...

Maybe not exactly that, but pretty much that, yes. :)

Well, of course they'll change Saga's voice again in the very next interlude, and I strongly suspect they want to go with Sarah again eventually (should TLJH happen, they might have both April and Saga in the same game).

Still, keep in mind that this is not a AAA venture. The 11 hour Dreamfall probably had double the budget of 20+ hour Chapters. And voicovers are extremely expensive, that's why Chapters uses comparatively few voice actors for many roles (same voice actors for e.g. Zelenka/Vamon or Enu/Hanna or Adala/Shepherd). Finding child voice actors isn't just expensive, it's also very, very difficult. Bip sounds really great, in my opinion, but Bip is safely within the 400+ spoken lines vicinity.

Finding yet another child voice actress that sounds younger than Bip, and that for a single interlude with just about 30 lines of text? Really not worth the effort. I'm not certain of course, but I think they indeed went with Ragnar Tørnquist's daughter, who is just about seven years old. I think she did a marvelous job, considering the circumstances. And the money they save here will be put to very good use elsewhere – improvisation and working with the assets at hand, that is the mark of the surviving indie developer.

And it really seems like you'll never see or hear anything of seven year old Saga again, judging from the narrative structure of Chapters. So, chalk it up as minor annoyance...
