But the patch is now included in the new build - and some people still have problems. And there's no statement either from GOG or RTG...?!

"they are already working on correcting the problem. I'm sorry for the
inconvenience."

i think we should be fair, its a hard business. more moderators means we need to pay more money for games. and many companies dont want to sell their games without drm, its not the fault of gog.
im not mad about bugs, happens.

but i agree, they need to find a way to get better in here cause unhappy customers means less money too. the privat mail-support seems to be ok (my point of view).

Surely moderators have no influence on the price of games, which isn't determined by GOG anyway. If GOG removed the downvoting and put some community moderators in place who crack down on xenophobic crap, we'd even get the forum in order, all for free. :|

hmm, my answer magically disappeared when i posted it, so again, short version:
u are right with community mods. u still need some payed peeps for checking them and clear rules for the mods, but it could work. if theres xenophobic trash or other hate posts there has to be a reaction by gog/mods.
did u saw a thread about this topic somewere in this forum? i read only the threads of the games i own at the moment.

It's a massive problem in general chat, some threads that I won't link to in particular, and some users who really only are on this forum to tell us of their scary political agenda. :(

i see... :( a forum is a mirror of the 'real world', so im not surprised. reading the news is weird enough, i dont need additional links to idiots :)
what i mean is, is there a thread about modding the forum? if only one or two of us are asking for better communication with gog in here it will not really change something. and mod rules (the blurred line between too much control and free speach) should be discussed too with gog.

update: found an older thread about mods and downvoting...

The issue with patch 4.1.1 and the black screen problem has been fixed. Also, we've split the builds so that those who want a pure 64-bit build or a 32-bit build can now choose which one they want :)
How can I detect which version (32 or 64bit) was installed by Galaxy?

Easiest way would be to check the Graphics options - if Visual Quality is limited to Low and Medium options only (missing High and Awesome), then you're likely running the 32 bit version.

Another way is to check with a task manager when the game is running to see if it's listed as 32 or 64 bit.

Finally, another way is to check the Dreamfall Chapters.exe file properties - under the compatibility tab, for "Compatibility Mode" if the first OS listed in the drop box is Windows Vista, it's 64bit; if it's Windows 95, it's 32 bit.

Odds are, if you haven't got the latest update (yesterday), the update prior to this installed the 32 bit version.

Of course, in order to run the 64 bit version, you must also be running a 64 bit version of Windows.

So I'm confused. It appears the 4.1.1 update is now built into the new download of the main files. Are we SURE it's fixed this time to run properly at 64 bit without a black screen on start? Has anyone tested it?

It won't help me until book 5 though. somehow I made it all the way through end of book 4 on the previous version without encountering any of the bugs listed. :-)

Yes, it's fixed this time and yes, the update is built into the main installer :)
Thank you very much @MisterE... ;-)
