Just bought it, figuring it would run without any hazzle or at the very least work using the methods described on this thread, but apparently not.

The game seems to be working without much trouble, except for the fact that there's no sound.
First I thought it was just because I installed the Galaxy version first, but it won't work with the manual install either.

Nevermind. It was something else. The game works fine.

Hey there, recently downloaded SWAT 4, after installation, it works fine, but now, it will not work, every time I try to launch, the little SWAT 4 square shows up, and will remain there forever, not loading the game.

Edit: Fixed, launched it from the systems folder.

Hey there. A friend of mine is having this problem, except that there's not even a splashscreen when launching the .exe, literally nothing happens. Tried most of these methods, but none has worked so far. Any ideas?

After trying multiple things to get SWAT4 TSS maps to work for multiple hours, I never even thought about checking about the possibility of the in-game adverts being blocked. I just couldn't quite work out why stock SWAT4 maps worked whereas TSS maps didn't - they would completely crash on loading meanwhile a friend of mine didn't have issues.

I have a pi-hole on my network that blocks adverts for all computers in the house, adding madserver.net to my whitelist allows me to play the game perfectly now.

I just purchased both SWAT 3 and 4 last night and have since been trying without luck to launch SWAT 4. I have tried all the solutions here, changing the resolution doesn't seem to work, adding lines for blocking ads doesn't work, launching from the game folder instead of GOG doesn't work, installing it manually or with GOG doesn't work either way. What can I do? I really want to experience this game and it seems to work for a lot of people. I'm running Windows 10 64 bit, GTX 980, i7 4790k 16gb of ram... if that helps.

this is pissing me off now ive ran in admin ive ran it in 600x800 ive ran it in windows xp service 3 and fuck all works i want my fucking money back now get to play it once and then it goes and takes a shit

I had the same problem, I tried using the -nointro command line to entirely skip the intro and it works.
I suggest people try this and aditionally running it in compatibility mode

I can play and load swat 4 just fine but when I try to play The Stetchkov Syndicate or elite force the game will freeze when I try to start a campaign. I've narrowed it down to the problem occurring in the DLC only any ideas of how to fix this problem?
