This game is not a roguelike!
When you die theres still your last savegame that could be loaded.
In roguelikes theres no such a feature. If you die there, your save wont save you!

Just look at the product page. Is there a "Roguelike" in the genre listing?
And a permadeath option you can find in many games today. But that dont mean that they are roguelikes...
Many of the good old games had only a few savepoints.
Just remember secret of mana, where you only could save in specific locations...
When i was playing that in my childhood sometimes i lost hours of gameplay...
So i can deal with that. We are spoiled with the games today where you can save at anytime...

These devs have literally no support of mention of gog.
i am going to have to refund this i cant play a game if i cant just stop playing this is a problem. i have played caves of qud i have played C DDA the very idea of not being able to stop is a joke
No save on exit is also the reason I don't buy at this point in time.

I love roguelikes, but when I want or have to stop playing I need my progress save.
Everything else is just annoying and interferes with my real life in a way a game just should not.

And I bet there are a lot of people who would love to buy, but feel the same way:
No save on exit, no money.

I get the feeling they went for a Souls type save system here. Save only at camp/inn. But they would benefit from a 1 time use scroll for saving anywhere.

And what if I don't have 15 gold for a room??? I just LOSE all the invested time?!?!?!?

Just allow a single quick save slot so I can turn the computer off and resume later!!!
The exising save system still works for milestone saves, but you have got to let people exit the game with a temporary save!

After reading all the posts, I know the Devs are having issues with the engine and such for saves. I do feel a need for the save in carevan to become real, more bandit camps (cause of random spawning some are really far from anything), the saving scroll, or auto save before you enter a dugeon or the firstcity in. I mean, it already does the autosave there once right? so it could just update everytime you enter it - or have 2 auto saves that happen there if they want to allow you to restart the same char after you finish the prolog.
