Patch 2.01.01

(from steam, but without the videos)

Chemical Reaction Update

After a period in Open Beta, we are releasing the Chemical Reaction Update for everyone.

Containing three new scenarios, one new unit type and the target priority setting, this is the largest free update so far.

Let's have a look at its content:

- Three new scenarios, two of which make use of the first incarnation of a new high-score system;
- One new unit type: Chemical Troopers; this unit is currently only available in the new scenarios, but there are plans to include it in future content as well. It's a squad of expert troopers using biochemical weapons, which they use to great effect for exterminating anything with more than two legs;
- The Target Priority setting (TPS); units can be set to prioritize firing at specific enemy types instead of aiming for the nearest target. For instance, if you want to automatically target Spitter Bugs with your Snipers, TPS allows you to avoid that level of micromanagement.

You can find the full changelog below.

The New Missions

Chemical Reaction
Arachnid test subjects have broken out in a chemical lab and are now running amok throughout the facility. You are being sent down with a small squad, including several units of the new Chemical Troopers. While the incident is unfortunate, the situation provides an excellent opportunity to field test their new weapons.

Expanding Gases (Survival mission)
The Mobile Infantry conducted a large field experiment with the new chemical weapons after successful lab trials. They will be used to clear an industrial complex and defend it against endless Arachnid attack waves. Killing bugs will grant "requisition points," which can be used to request new units, open gates to new areas, or increase your War Support. The experiment's success will be determined by how long you survive.

Lethal Propellant
As the Chemical Troopers continue to provide their value on the battlefield, Terran Command has sent them down into a large canyon crawling with Bugs.
Lead them along the rocky trail to clear out all hives, but carefully decide when to push and when to hold: More and more Arachnid hordes are entering the canyon from the rear!

You can read the full changelog below, and the official announcement with more details is coming soon.

If you're on the Open Beta, we kindly please to stay on the Open Beta branch: you're on the same version as everyone else now, but soon we will be updating that branch with new content which we'll need to test.

Challenge missions are now available in the Raising Hell DLC
The Raising Hell DLC now includes three new missions set on the planet Gehenna. Decide how to approach objectives and choose which units to deploy. Each mission also tracks a local high score to challenge your tactical and decision-making skills.

Read below to discover what is new:

1. Three new missions

Embark on the Prospect & Protect mission, where you'll gather soil samples by constructing and defending prospectors amidst relentless Arachnid attacks. Experiment with new mercenary units, survive waves, and earn a high score based on duration and territory clearance.

In the Raiding Inferno mission, Mercenaries and M.I. Troopers collaborate to purge an Arachnid-infested sector threatened by attacking hives. Strategically position units, respond to threats, and minimize losses for a commendable outcome.

The Wildfire mission focuses on the new Powered Suit Incinerators eliminating Bug Nests amid increasing Arachnid threats, all while ash storms come and go to disrupt reinforcements. For an outstanding high score, all Brood Nests and Stinger Nests need to be eradicated as quickly as possible, while additional points can be gained for clearing Bug Hives.

2. What is your highest score?

Challenge yourself to achieve the highest score and share your triumphs with the Troopers community!
The in-game score counter will track your progress, enabling you to refine your strategy and approach objectives at your own discretion.

Join the Troopers community on Discord to share your highest score and
