It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I remember rapidly switching between camera angles at the start of every mission when I played this back in the day, it's always been there unfortunately.
After looking around, it does indeed seem like there is no way to truly 'fix' it unless someone took the time to look through the code of the game itself.

That being said, for this PC release I've found that simply using cockpit mode is the best option. That way you don't have to constantly switch the third person view to realign to where it should be by switching back and forth with the other third person views.

The last option would also simply be to get the N64 version instead, which I have as well ;).

solution;

have fraps running with fps counter (higher the res, the smaller the counter is)

or

have rivatuner statistics server running (can change size and colour of fps counter)

or use dxwnd and set compatibility to windows 95 in the dxwnd settings (not exe properties)
only tested windowed but no camera bug running in windowed mode without fps counters running.

may work in fullscreen mode but haven't tested yet.

it's seems to be something directx related with newer cards. (may be wrong)

i have already tried the game on XP on an old laptop with an 8xxx geforce, forceware 8x.xx and there was no camera issue.

seems like a compatibilty issue?
Has anyone tried nGlide? I am using Wine to run Rogue Squadron in Linux Mint. It was suffering the same issue. Fraps and Dxwnd will not run in Wine so I installed nGlide and set the nGlide Configurator to:

Screen Resolution: By desktop
Aspect Ratio: Preserve original
Refresh rate: By desktop
Vertical synchronization: Off

This seems to resolve the camera issue for me. It would be nice to know if this works for others in Windows as well.
