Anyone having issues with this crashing and/or locking up constantly on Windows 8.1?

Yes, mine constantly freezes or closes / crashes on Windows 8.1 also. The game is listed as compatible so it should be updated and fixed asap please.

Same here.. I cant get it to work at all. I set it to software mode and got it to work once, but then not after that.

Have you contacted GOG support and given them thetech information they will ask for?
the more info GOG has, the quicker they can solve the problem....

I don't mean to insult anybody, but just complaining about it on a bulletin board does not help solve the problem.

Wasn't just complaining, I was asking if anyone else was having the same problem. I assumed it was simple fix and someone would be like "Yes I had this problem and did X." I mean isn't that what this forum is for since it has a problem and solution feature?

Play in Softwaremode and you can play. But mail gog Support. We need a update...

My Asus sonicmaster (i3 chip, intel) runs it just fine on Window 8.1 with the software mode graphics.

Note that software mode needs more ram so don't run anything else in the background.

And it works fine on my Windows 7 64 bit computer. SO it's not a problem with the basic operating system, I suggest you look at the sound and/or video card .
