I have tried all of the suggested fixes to get the game to run but to no avail. I get as far as hitting the play button and the game crashes with the following dialog: "Fatal Error...Exiting". A common theme I see with people who have their game running is that they are using Nvidia cards. I have tried multiple catalyst versions including most recent but no luck. Compatibility is set to Win 98 ( which is the only way to even get to the initial menu). I have changed all other settings in the advanced and video options but it all results with the same error.

GOG, would you please remove Solved statuses when they have not been confirmed to be working. It didn't take long for me to deduce that everyone that got the game running was using an Nvidia card, but all ATI users still have no luck. Please look into this.

Hi there.

Same prob here. Not as three USD would bring me down, but please, someone help us! I would very much like to play this game, but won't buy an old PC for that. I even tried to install old card drivers. made settings to CPU affinity, tried every single video setting... every time I get fatal error.

Waiting for a solution.

AMD here also... I've had this for awhile and just tried to play today and have been playing around with drivers all afternoon.. Waste of a Sunday afternoon(thanks gog).. Another GOG game I can't get to run correctly.. This is getting old very fast.. From what I've been reading, the game is not that good anyways.

I'll need to re-install, but on my laptop it was running fine. Laptop is an AMD C60 1.0 GHz APU with an on-die Radeon HD 6290 (256 MB dedicated), Windows 7 64-bit and Catalyst 13.4 drivers. I don't recall needing to do any tweaks to get the game running.

Same problem for me, as well. The intro plays and then the fatal error message appears. Nothing I have done has made any difference.

If I get the chance, I will try to re-install it on my laptop tonight. I don't recall needing to tweak anything, but it's been a long time since I tried it.

Hi, Leucius.

Sorry, it's been a hectic few weeks. I just built a couple of desktops for my wife and I so I've been re-installing things. I checked my laptop and it's running Catalyst 13.4 right now, so I have made a note to update the driver and install it tonight when I get home from work.

Sorry, it's been a hectic few weeks. I just built a couple of desktops for my wife and I so I've been re-installing things. I checked my laptop and it's running Catalyst 13.4 right now, so I have made a note to update the driver and install it tonight when I get home from work.
