Love the game so far, but I figure there is still some room for improvement. Right now, there are a couple of small things I wish were in the game or were improved:

* Troop overview: There is a list of which troops are available in which settlements, but no town names, only their sizes
* "Restart mission" option: I got stuck in a bad spot in mission 3 of the Stoutheart campaign and wish I could reset, but there is no clear option for it except remembering to make a save game at the beginning of the mission
* "Continue walking" command: A button that will continue a Wielder's movement that has already been set for a course of several turns
* Better claim feedback: It happened a couple of times that I thought I've already claimed a building, because my Wielder was standing right in front of it, but they were JUST out of movement. I realize there is a flag in front of claimed structures, but I've overlooked that a couple of times already.
* Contextual minimum wielders: If you start the mission with more Wielders than settlements and one of them dies (see next point), you can't revive them until you have claimed the appropriate number of settlements, putting the player at a severe disadvantage right at the start
* Better difficulty information: I've encountered battles that were labeled as "Medium" but were basically impossible to beat, getting steamrolled on the first enemy's turn
* End of turn warning for building opportunities: Would love it if the game warned you if you could still build a structure somewhere
Those all seem like good suggestions. As for me, though it's unlikely to happen for a heroes of might and magic like game outside of multiplayer, i'd love a diplomacy/trade system in a game like this.

Otherwise i hope for more factions, biomes, heroes, items, creatures over time. Maybe even through an expansion. Also, perhaps a tall order but I'd also like to see an option for procedurally generated maps and campaigns. That you can set parameters for, so you get a new challenge each playthrough.
Aside from more content:

When in a hero's stat menu, having a way to switch between heroes without leaving the menu would be welcome. That way it's easier to quickly compare the stats and equipment of your heroes.

Right now you can't unit stop a unit's movement when they've started to move on the world map, which gets annoying when you misclick. When moving, I'd suggest having left click stop movement.

If you're in the main menu, clicking Single player --> Campaign -- > and then the mission you want to restart, you'll restart the mission with all of your stats and items still carrying over from the preceding mission.

I don't know if there'll be a campaign generator, but a map generator is in the works.
Thanks for the info on the map generator! @Fortuk

There's one right now, but it doesn't really do much. You can make a random island, or a random island with some stuff on it, but nothing like a playable map, and no sliders to control parameters.

Speaking of sliders, there needs to be one that controls map scrolling, as it's about 50% too slow for me right now.

You mean the option in the level editor, right? While it generates a map, it's as a baseline that you need to then further work on yourself in order to make it playable scenario. It's not a map generator that puts you in a a generated, playable scenario on the spot the way people associate with HOMM style games. That's probably why it's sort of hidden away as a WIP tool in the map editor. Still useful as a modder though!
Just started the game. I'm hoping for achievements and controller support.
The defense buildings are laughable. The ballistas are really weak and there is no way to truly fortify a settlement.

I understand that this is a recreation of Heroes of Might and Magic and that defenses are probably supposed to be weak to keep the game from stalling. But right now, the entire game is revolving about constantly razing and retaking villages, outmaneuvering the AI which is not capable of grasping positioning.

A kind of "delay" is introduced by having several turns to take over a settlement or raze it, which gives a bit of time.

In my humble opinion, it would be much better to have strong defenses/fortifications and a kind of "siege" mode which slowly lowers these defenses over the course of 3 turns.

Right now, I don't even bother to upgrade smaller settlements, because their buildings are constantly razed and recaptured anyway.

A Scenario map generator would make a BIG DIFFERENCE for a lot of people deciding whether to buy the game. Incorporate this into the game and It would be an instant buy for me. In my Wishlist for now. Patience is golden.

I think the game looks great but the darker hue and busy sprites on the world map mixed the the Xcom style green ring could be replaced / add an alternative mode where the screen changes to a Monochrome filter like in Baldur's Gate II EE. I feel this is just what the game needs to have a cleaner more fantasy style UI and you could have the monochrome only on non map objects so they pop off the screen. Maybe in general experiment w/ alternative quick toggles like this so at a glance . Endless Legend has UI options that utilize Monochome as well. It would showcase the world map objects a bit as well when toggled. I think EVERYTHING in the game is shiny and 'breathing" and maybe add an option to toggle off some of these shimmers and animations as well. Maybe adding an alternate color pallet option w/ less enchanted dark Forrest type colors for standard wooded areas and less bright desert. I love the game but feel that where it could be better in future patches are some easier some of these additions/ mods/ options. I have heard people on twitch not liking the xcom green ring for movement and just felt like posting on here an idea I had . Great work to all the Devs!

Mmm maybe an option to add a slider for saturation on floor/ world / fog/ and a 2nd slider for all the sprites / objects / ground items so the player can make them pop a bit more would be amazing .
